PGA Tour: Masters Tournament 2022 Golf Picks and Betting Odds

The 2021-22 season of golf continues this week with the Masters Tournament on Thursday morning held at the Augusta National, GA. As with every event on the golf schedule, we've got three outright winner picks, ranging from one of the favorites to some mega value!
After picking Hideki Matsuyama to win the Sony Open already this season, we're feeling good about going again with this week's picks.
So let's look to this week's Masters Tournament and three guys that we like to win this week's golf tournament, varying from one of the best chances, who still represents good value, down to some nice plays on a couple of stars that look set for big weeks at longer odds! We also show you the best sportsbook promos to play.
With a host of big names out there, we're set for an awesome four days of golf... and betting in Georgia! As we do each and every tournament, we provide you with our best golf picks for outright winner, as well as some in-play picks throughout.
Let's get into our best bets for this week ⬇️
Golf Picks: 2022 Masters
Top Pick - Justin Thomas
Honestly, if you came to me with one of the top ten or so favorites for this week with a nice stat or two, you could convince me that they're going to win. And that's what is so great about The Masters.
But in saying that, the man that I will be putting my biggest wager behind this week is none other than Justin Thomas.
JT is in some very nice form right now, making the cut in all nine events that he's played this season, with the highlights so far coming in the form of 3rd-place finishes at the Mayakoba and Valspar (just a couple of weeks ago).

But all in all, it's pretty evident that this is what he has been building to since the Ryder Cup. Thomas has added some length to his game and is currently 16th for driving distance on the TOUR, which will be vital this week with Augusta National adding some distance compared to previous years.
As well as JT's extra length of the tee and his consistent play all season, his recent performance at Riviera (6th) gives us some extra confidence here, with success there often lining up to success at The Masters.
At a 7.8% probability, DimersBOT rates Thomas as the best chance to don the Green Jacket on Sunday afternoon, and that's exactly what I think will happen, with the 28 year-old finally securing that illusive second major.
Value Pick - Daniel Berger
Next up we've got a guy that recently burnt me at the The Honda Classic where he went into the final day of play with a five-shot lead on the field.
Although I didn't really want to out my support (and cash) behind Berger again for a while after that loss, his odds this week are simply too good to turn down.
Berger is 4th for shots gained: total for this PGA season so far, with his play around the greens the most impressive aspect of his game once again.

A common trope discussed in the NBA is young players taking a leap after playing for Team USA (see Jayson Tatum right now), but it's also something that happens in the game of golf as well.
Berger's appearance and impressive display at the Ryder Cup in September last year has clearly shown the 28-year-old that he belongs amongst the world's best, with a strong performance at Augusta the next way to prove that.
DimersBOT is currently rating Berger as the 6th best chance to win The Masters this week, presenting a huge edge on the odds we're getting from the books.
Dark Horse - Brian Harman
I've had Brian Harman's name circled as my dark horse pick for this year's Masters since April last year where finished the week in a tie for 12th place.
Since 2003, left handers have won eight majors, with five of those being right here at The Masters.
Now, apart from Harman being a lefty, why exactly is that significant? Well, it means that 25% of Masters tournaments in this time have been won by lefties, which is unreal when you consider that around only 5% of PGA players are left-handed.
But on top of the hand he plays golf with suiting this course very well, Harman has been playing very well this season, with 10/13 made cuts, and two Top-5 finishes already as well (including a T3 at AmEX the last time I was this bullish on him).
The Georgia-native would like nothing more than to win his local major, with the Atlanta sports fan very much at home when playing here.
