Although this was likely the right call, Simpson will be out to prove Steve Stricker wrong over the next few weeks, with a win here at the Fortinet Championship very much on the cards.

Webb comes into the week as the second favorite behind Jon Rahm (+550) and should be right up this week as clearly one of the best guys in the field.

The 36 year-old failed to win last season, but made the cut in 18 of 21 events, 13 Top-25s and six Top-10 finishes.

Look for Webb to rectify that winless season by kicking off 2021-22 with a trophy straight off the bat.

2021-22 Fortinet Championship Value Pick
