One area FanDuel sportsbook could improve is the range of promotions. It has one of the best welcome bonuses, but doesn’t have an extensive range of promos for existing customers outside its parlay profit boosts.
We love the FanDuel welcome bonus and we think it’s one of the best value bonuses available, especially because we didn't have to use the
FanDuel Sportsbook Promo Code. Details are as follows:
This is incredible value because of the lack of restrictions on your initial $5 bet. For example, the bet doesn’t have to be minimum odds - it can be a moneyline bet with low odds. For example, you could place a $5 moneyline bet on the Boston Celtics to beat the Detroit Pistons which is as close to a sure-thing as you can get.
Just remember that this promo ONLY applies to your first bet. If you have made any other bets, it won't count. Also, if your first bet loses, you get nothing.
Keep in mind that the bonus used in this article is an example of what you could receive. Bonus offers may vary depending on where you reside. So be sure to check the banners on this page for the best promotions available in your jurisdiction!
While creating this FanDuel review we noticed the same-game parlay profit boosts. These appear periodically for different sports and at the time of writing, there was an MLB parlay profit boost:
- Place a 3+ leg same-game parlay or same-game parlay plus wager.
- Gain a 25% profit boost.
- Final wager must have pre-boosted odds of -400 or higher to qualify..
These parlay profit boosts are fantastic as they don’t have any drawbacks. You get a straight 25% profit boost if your parlay pays out with no strings attached.
Make sure you check the promotions page for these profit boosters as they often appear for different sports.

Product features at FanDuel
4.6/5
To create our FanDuel review we followed all the steps a new customer would, including account registration and deposits. We also spent time testing important platform features such as usability, mobile accessibility, and betting variance.
Site usability - intuitive website design
The FanDuel sportsbook website isn’t the flashiest. However, the functionality is excellent and if anything, the simplicity makes it easier to use. Just remember that in some states like New Jersey, FanDuel has a separate horse race betting section which can be found at the top navigation next to the casino tab.
We like the layout of the site menus - they reminded us of those we discussed in our
Bet365 review: along the top you have quick links to your bets and promotions, while on the left-hand side there is a list of sports. These are separated into “Popular”, and “All Sports”. The popular options include major US leagues, plus global sports like tennis, soccer, and UFC.
If you click on one of the links such as “MLB”, the list of currently available games is shown in the middle panel. We also like that there is a selection of filter categories so you can find specific matches. For example, in the MLB category, the filters include World Series, Ohtani, League Winners, and Batter Props.
The layout of the individual match options is logical too and beneath the main game line bets, there are collapsible props bets which mean your screen isn’t cluttered with too much information.
The website loading times are quick too and we never had any issues with odds refreshing or the live betting section. Yes, the website looks a little dated, but it’s usability is superb.
Mobile app - fantastic mobile compatibility at FanDuel
The FanDuel betting app is available from the Google Play Store and App Store. We checked the reviews and it has a 4.6 star rating on Google Play, and 4.+ on the App Store which makes it one of the best available.
If you have already read our
DraftKings Sportsbook review, you'll be no stranger to the concept of seamless mobile gaming. It’s clear the FanDuel betting app was developed after the website as it has a more modern and stylish design. It looks fantastic and we enjoyed using the app more than the website. At the top there is a handy quick link menu that contains popular sports. It’s easy to navigate between the different matches within a sport category too.
We love that your current account balance is shown in the bottom-right-hand corner too. The bottom menu also has important account management features such as your bet slip and referrals.
There is a cool bet tracker tool that allows you to see the current progress of your parlays. It shows the overall odds, plus a summary of the individual matches/selections in your parlay bets and if they are currently paying out or not.
The live betting experience on the FanDuel betting app is enjoyable too. The odds refresh instantly and the live stats trackers and streaming work perfectly. We do recommend using WiFi where possible though so you don’t eat through your mobile data.
Range of betting markets at FanDuel
To create this FanDuel review we had an objective look at the available sports markets. It caters to all popular sports markets that US customers are interested in, including:
- MLB
- NFL
- NBA
- WNBA
- MLS
- NHL
- NCAAB
- NCAAF
- Horse racing
- Soccer
- Tennis
- Golf
- MMA
Basketball
Football
Horse Racing
Tennis
Ice Hockey
American Football
Baseball
Golf
Those are just the popular sports though. FanDuel sportsbook also covers Aussie Rules football, boxing, cricket, cycling, darts, lacrosse, motorsport, Rugby League, Rugby Union, snooker, and table tennis.
The league and tournament coverage within the individual sports is solid too. For example, with basketball you can bet on the NBA, WNBA, NCAA, plus a range of global leagues in China and Europe. Similarly, for soccer, you can bet on the MLS, plus every top-tier European league like the English Premier League and La Liga. If you click on the “All Leagues” filter, this gives you quick links to all competitions. For example, in soccer it shows tier 2 and tier 3 leagues like the English Championship and French Ligue 2.
The range of markets is fantastic, but we love the futures bet options too. For most sports that involve a league or a cup you can place futures bets on various categories. For example, the following are some of the NBA futures bets before the regular season:
- Regular season wins
- Player stat leaders
- To make the playoffs
- NBA Emirates Cup
- Season awards
This gives you amazing entertainment value and allows you to exercise your inner sports nerd. The betting quality extends to the in-game bets too though. Most sports have a brilliant variety of prop bets for each match. For example, we looked at an NBA game between the Celtics and Knicks and some wagers included first half winner, total points, winning margin, and spread bets. These are available for both pre-game bets and live bets.
For most live markets you can place common bets like moneyline, spreads, over/under, and parlays.
Live betting and streaming options
FanDuel sportsbook has a dedicated live betting section. To access it, click on the “live now” link in the left-hand popular sports menu. This shows all current live events with filters at the top so you can see live events for specific sports. Every sports market on FanDuel has live betting options. Admittedly, some live matches don’t have a huge range of bets, but you can always make live moneyline bets.
The layout and features of the individual live matches are fantastic. The bet options are shown at the bottom and we like that you can collapse the bets you aren’t interested in to reduce clutter on your screen. Above this, there is an excellent game tracker that gives you a 2D render of the action. For example, with live tennis games you can see ball animations within the rallies.
We found the refresh rates and update speed of the game tracker to be spot on. The odds also refreshed quickly too so we never felt we were getting unrealistic betting options.
The game tracker also has a stats tab which shows important match stats, Live streaming is available too, but not for every game. This depends on the TV network and how the sporting event is being broadcast.
Banking and payouts - great variety of payment methods available
4.2/5
We tested the banking methods for this FanDuel review and found their payment systems to be flexible. Similar to our discovery over in our
BetMGM Sportsbook review, you can make payments using a wide range of payment methods including cards, e-wallets, and prepaid cards. The minimum deposit limit is typically $10.00, but the minimum withdrawal limits vary depending on the state and withdrawal method but range from $10-$250.00.
We love that FanDuel doesn’t charge any payment fees, and their withdrawal processing times are some of the best available out of US sportsbooks. They aim to process all withdrawals within 48 hours.
A feature we noticed is the ability to cancel deposits too. For example, if you made a deposit by accident or deposited too much, you can request a refund of any unused deposit funds, or a full cancellation request.
The withdrawal process is incredibly smooth at FanDuel and we like that you can enable live withdrawal updates to check on the payment process. Withdrawals can also be made in-person at select retail locations. The following is a breakdown of the current payment methods at FanDuel sportsbook:
Security and trust - is FanDuel legal in the US?
4.7/5
For our FanDuel sportsbook review we checked state availability. Currently, the FanDuel sportsbook is available in 37 US states: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
This is essentially every state where sports betting is legal. When asking the question, is FanDuel legit, we also looked at security and safety features which include:
- Valid SSL certificate and SSL encryption.
- Detailed privacy policy.
- 2FA verification available.
- Extensive responsible gambling tools.
The
responsible gambling
tools are particularly effective, too. We like that you can set deposit limits and that there is a self-exclusion option. FanDuel sportsbook also has various links to responsible gambling help sites.
Customer support at FanDuel reviewed
4.6/5
Is FanDuel legit? Yes, and they provide a solid range of support options. For the desktop version, we found the support methods a little difficult to find. For example, the live chat icon doesn’t appear until you visit the support page, we got to know about this when we wanted to know about the
sportsbook promos
available on the platform. Nonetheless, the quality of support is great and the response times are quick. Support methods include:
- 24/7 live chat
- Help FAQs
- Email support
We recommend using the live chat for support. To find this, scroll to the bottom of the website and click the “Support” button. This opens the main support page and the live chat icon should appear in the bottom right-hand corner. To start the live chat you must enter your name, email, subject, product, and location. You are then connected to a support rep and we were typically only waiting 10-30 seconds.
The help centre follows a similar layout to the Caesars sportsbook (which you can learn more about in our
Caesars sportsbook review) with a search function and range of FAQ categories. For example, you can find info on money management, how to place bets, and promotions. There is an email support ticket too, but we found the live chat to be the most effective method.
