We’re over the early stages where we treated sites or prediction market apps like a passing trend. Now, they are mainstream, and even if you have a favorite site, you may still benefit from alternative software for iOS and Android.
So far, the sites or apps we are looking at are Kalshi, Crypto.com, Polymarket, Robinhood, and OG. We’ve tried all of them and found that each one has its own set of advantages. That is why, on this page, we'll highlight the main features and even share some pros and cons to help you make an informed choice.
A prediction market website is ideal if you prefer a larger screen and plan to spend more time analyzing and trading events from a laptop or desktop. However, most users today are mobile-first, making apps a faster and more convenient way to trade on the go.
That said, not every prediction market platform offers a dedicated mobile app, with some relying solely on a mobile-friendly website instead. If you’re not comfortable with always opening your browser first and then manually searching for the events trading site you want, then you should consider one of the apps we’ve featured here.
They are exactly like the websites, but with instant access and great portability. The best part is that every single brand has its software on the official app stores, so you can see real reviews before you download it.
We downloaded the top 5 apps and tested them over a decent amount of time to get the full experience. This is a quick rundown of their star ratings and category coverage before we get into an overview of what to expect:
| Prediction market app | Categories | iOS app support | Android app support |
| Kalshi | 13 categories, including politics, trending, economics, crypto, culture, etc. | Yes (4.8-star rating on the App Store) | Yes (4.7-star rating on the Play Store) |
| Crypto.com | Three groups with a total of 13 categories | Yes (4.6-star rating on the App Store) | Yes (4.3-star rating on the Play Store) |
| Polymarket | 16+ categories | Yes (4.7-star rating on the App Store) | Yes (4.5-star rating on the Play Store) |
| Robinhood | 14+ popular categories, including sports, climate, entertainment, and politics. | Yes (4.3-star rating on the App Store) | Yes (4.1-star rating on the Play Store) |
| OG | Sports-first categories plus 7 others, including crypto, financials, and politics | Yes (4.6-star rating on the App Store) | Yes (4.6-star rating on the Play Store) |
We are starting with the platform that successfully bagged the first Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) license in the US. Kalshi may not have solely pioneered the prediction market trading industry, but it set the tone for what a legal operation looks like. Starting in 2018 as just an idea shared by two MIT graduates, Kalshi has now become the most used website and app in America’s event trading space.
During our Kalshi review, we found that it covers a total of 13 categories, including options like culture, politics, sports, and even climate. Our favorite thing about both the application and website is the user interface that prioritizes easy search. A clear instance of this is how the categories are in full display rather than tucked away in a menu. You also get a live calendar update showing the number of active markets as some of them time out and new ones are added.
Crypto.com is a more tailored platform that’ll appeal to you if you prefer predictions on crypto price and events. It also includes some elections, sports, economics, and financial markets. We’d say it is a good option if you don’t want to be overwhelmed with multiple choices. Crypto.com also has iOS and Android applications, together with a fully functional website.
One of the things we’d consider unique to them is their prepaid Visa card, which makes topping up your account for trades a bit easier. We dug into their licensing and regulatory details and found that they have a more global appeal compared to Kalshi. Which is why they have over a dozen licenses from different parts of the world. In the US, they hold 7 licenses, including a derivative clearing organization license.
Sponsored by Crypto.com – Not investment advice. Trading prediction markets and crypto involves risk, including potential loss of your stake. Consider your risk tolerance before participating. Crypto.com connects U.S. users to CDNA (regulated by CFTC) for derivatives trading. CDNA membership required. Trading may not be suitable for all—you could lose your entire investment plus fees. Past performance doesn't guarantee future results. This is not a solicitation or recommendation to trade.
If the first prediction market service you ever heard of is Polymarket, you’re not the only one. It had become the world’s largest decentralized prediction trading market platform within a short time. However, it was only in 2025 that it returned to the US and now holds a CFTC license. Both the apps and website make it easy to track live markets and are available to US residents who are at least 18.
We counted exactly 16 main categories you can trade, which means wider coverage of possible areas of interest than other platforms. When we clicked on the “New” section, we found over a dozen more options. Also, account funding is easy with crypto, debit cards, and bank transfers.
Before they introduced event contracts, one of the main reasons why people liked Robinhood was its zero-commission stock trading. Event contracts work differently, though, carrying their own contract-based fee, so it's worth checking the fee schedule before you trade.
Users across most of the US, including Washington D.C, can access the platform and trade events across 14 categories. We found categories like foreign exchange and metals, which many competitors don’t have or usually group under economies or financials.
Design-wise, Robinhood can feel a bit overwhelming at first encounter, but once you’re used to it, getting around becomes a breeze. Compared to the other prediction market apps, the welcome offer here is also massive. There is $200 in reward stock for newly registered users. You can get the app from the official App Store for iOS and the Play Store for Android.
Of all the brands we’ve mentioned, OG is the most sports-heavy to the point where you’d think other categories don’t exist. Sports prediction markets like golf, pro basketball, hockey, pro baseball, and tennis are front-loaded, while others like politics, culture, and entertainment are hidden with the dropdown tagged “more.” With a specific target audience in mind, the theme of the website and apps is quite sporty, blending a mix of orange and black.
Its iOS and Android apps already have ratings of 4.6 stars, which show early signs of positive adoption and experiences. We tested the applications and didn’t notice any bugs; plus, the user interface and experience made using and reviewing it easy. If you want a prediction app with coverage for both mainstream and niche sporting events, this is the best on the list.
Prediction Trading is facilitated through Crypto.com | Derivatives North America (CDNA). Foris DAX Inc. and Foris Inc. (d/b/a OG ) provide access to CDNA, a platform regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), allowing users to trade derivatives in accordance with CDNA’s rules and regulations.
The best prediction market apps are not always the flashiest ones. For us, it's how functional they are and what exactly they provide that makes us choose them. Also, they have to be secure enough for us to trust them with our trades. That’s why we have four items on our vetting checklist that are non-negotiable. Here is each one:
As you’ve seen, not every platform we’ve highlighted is available country-wide. There’s still some tussle around the legal and regulatory frameworks that exist when it comes to prediction markets. However, the best brands with apps should be usable in no less than 30 states; that’s over half the country, and will accommodate a wider net of users.
An available app that’s hard to use is not of any benefit to event traders. Factors that matter here include the app size, refresh rate, usability, and inclusion of every feature on the website. Users would be able to get everything they need within the downloadable software and not have to worry about bugs or crashes very often.
Not every platform will cover all the categories that matter. If you want something that’s broad, then you’d want to see markets like politics, climate, sports, entertainment, and even culture. Before we choose an app to recommend, we check to see that there are at least 10 markets to choose from. Even apps that are sports-heavy, like OG, have 7 other categories that you can choose from.
The best prediction market platform no longer exists in the legal limbo that it once seemed to be in. Now, there are licenses, such as the CFTC approval, that ensure users are safe. Any brand we recommend should hold at least one regulatory license that’s verifiable.
Before you pick an app as a prediction market site substitute, there are a few things to think about:
Your first encounter with most prediction market platforms will be the website, and we’d suggest that you get used to each site’s features. That way, when you eventually get the application, you know what features or special elements to look out for. Ensure that the markets you want are available, the application has good ratings, and you have enough memory space to accommodate them.
Most importantly, we always recommend that you only choose applications that are hosted in the official app stores. All the apps we have featured here are reliable, and some have enticing welcome bonuses for new account holders. Tap on any of the links to sign up now and start enjoying the most portable access to event trading.
The best prediction market app alternatives to using websites include Kalshi, Polymarket, OG, Robinhood, and Crypto.com.
You can download the Kalshi iOS app from the Apple App Store and the Android app from the Play Store.
Yes, the same markets and features on the best prediction market websites are available on the official app stores.
Prediction markets involve financial risk, and outcomes are never guaranteed. In light of this, trading should always be controlled and enjoyable. Keep your activity in check by following responsible trading practices such as:
Only trade money you can afford to lose and stop when your budget is reached.
Avoid increasing trade size or frequency to recover losses.
Don't trade when stressed, tired, emotional, or under the influence.
Take breaks and avoid letting trading interfere with daily life.
Learn how contracts, pricing, fees, and settlement work before trading.
Use spending limits, account history, or self-exclusion tools where available.
