How SC Redemptions Work at US Sweepstakes Casinos
For those of you who are new to the concept, sweepstakes casinos are online platforms in the US that allow you to play casino-style games using virtual currencies instead of real money. You can always play at a sweepstakes casino at no cost, though optional virtual currency purchases are available.
Sweepstakes casino no deposit bonuses
don’t exist because deposits and withdrawals aren’t available in the first place.
While you can never deposit and withdraw funds at a US sweepstakes casino, you can redeem Sweeps Coins (SC), the promotional virtual currency for prizes. However, to redeem a prize, you need to meet the minimum balance thresholds and playthrough requirements that are outlined in the Sweepstakes rules.
Pros and Cons
- Redeem real prizes
- Redemption times in 24 hours or less
- Discover the fastest redemption sweepstakes casinos here
- Gift cards and real money prizes
Gold Coins Vs Sweeps Coins - The Virtual Currencies
To fully understand redemptions at sweepstakes casinos, you need to know how the virtual currencies work. Most sweepstakes casinos in the US use a dual virtual currency model, giving you two ways to play casino-style games:
- With
Gold Coins (GC), you can play games for entertainment purposes only. GCs have no real-world value and cannot be withdrawn or redeemed for real prizes. You can collect GCs for free through on-site promotions, and you also have the option to purchase them in bundles.
- Sweeps Coins (SC)
are the promotional virtual currency that you can redeem for real prizes if you win, meet the playthrough requirements, and have the minimum required number of eligible SCs in your balance. SCs are never available to purchase, meaning that you can only collect them through promotional offers.
How Long Do Redemptions Take at Sweepstakes Casinos?
The redemption times can vary massively, depending on the sweepstakes casino you’re playing at, the size of your redemption, and the redemption method that you’re using. When it comes to payment methods, gift card and crypto redemptions tend to be faster than bank transfers or e-wallets.
In terms of size, smaller redemptions are almost always quicker than larger ones. If you want to find the
Sweeps Coins casinos
with the quickest redemption times overall, we’ve provided them for you in this guide.
Overall, you can expect your redemption request to be approved within 48 hours on most of the top US social casino sites. After approval, it’s not uncommon to have to wait 10 banking days or more to receive your prize funds.
Common SC Redemption Requirements to Look Out for
Across the board, these are the common redemption requirements that you need to meet before you can request a prize redemption at a sweepstakes casino:
- Playthrough requirements
- You must play through your SCs a set number of times to make them eligible for redemption. As you’ll see later, the top sweepstakes casinos have playthrough requirements between 1x and 3x.
- Minimum balance Thresholds
- The minimum number of eligible SCs you must have in your balance to submit a redemption request. You will generally find that gift card prizes have a lower minimum threshold compared with cash prizes.
- Redemption ratio
- On the vast majority of sites, you get 1 USD in prizes for every 1 SC that you redeem.
- Request approval time
- After submitting a redemption request, there will be a maximum time limit within which the sweepstakes casino team must approve or deny your request.
