My Moomoo review made me realize that the brokerage is preparing to launch its prediction market. It has already obtained regulatory approval from US authorities to provide event contracts on real-world topics such as economics, sports, and politics.
In this review, I'll share what I know so far about what the prediction market may look like and what you can expect once it launches. These include details about its bonuses, usability, customer support, payment options, security, and more. I'll also provide answers to the most common questions traders have about this yet-to-launch prediction market. Let's get to it.
Prediction markets let you trade contracts on real-world events, including sports, politics, economics, climate, culture, and cryptocurrencies. Each market features a Yes-or-No contract, and the contract prices reflect how much traders collectively believe one side of the event will occur. If more traders think an event is more likely to occur, you'll see that the Yes price is greater than the No price. However, this doesn't mean that prices or implied probabilities guarantee how an event will turn out.
If your prediction aligns with how an event eventually unfolds, you receive the stated amount per contract. However, if you're wrong, you get nothing, as the contract becomes worthless.
Here's how the “Los Angeles Mayor winner?” prediction market appears on a site:
| Karen Bass | 69% Yes 70¢ No 31¢ |
|---|---|
| Spencer Pratt | 27% Yes 27¢ No 74¢ |
| Nithya Raman | 5.8% Yes 5.9¢ No 94.2¢ |
Here are the types of prediction markets Moomoo might eventually offer US traders upon its launch. They'll probably be similar to the ones I noted in my Crypto.com review:
This market offers contracts for sports such as basketball, football, cricket, hockey, and golf. Some prediction market sites even feature contracts for esports events. Live trading is quite common in sports. See examples of football prediction markets: Dallas Renegades vs. St. Louis Battlehawks and Houston Gamblers vs. Birmingham Stallions.
Futures markets in sports prediction usually include outcomes for future events such as the MAC Championship Winner, the UFL Championship Winner, and the 2027 Pro Football Champion.
Politics
Here, you find prediction markets that let you answer Yes or No questions on politics. These may include international and local political matters. Examples are: “Tim Walz out as Governor of Minnesota?”, “Which leaders will leave office this year?”, and “Who will visit Iran before July?”
Culture
Culture displays event contracts on entertainment, including movies, music, awards, and video games. For instance, “Who will be the next James Bond?”, “Who will be cast in Summer House: Season 11?”, and “Oscar for Best Picture?”
Crypto
If you wish to test your knowledge of cryptocurrencies, this prediction market offers event contracts on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Dogecoin. These cryptocurrencies can be further categorized under 15-minute, hourly, daily, and annual markets. For instance, BTC 15 min - $76,439.26 target; when will Bitcoin cross $100k again?; BTC price today at 5 pm EDT?
Climate
This category features prediction markets that provide questions on climate change, weather, temperature, and natural disasters. Questions usually appear as: Highest temperature in LA today?, Number of tornadoes this month? And rain in Seattle this month?.
Economics
Under the economics markets, you'll find outcomes on GDP, federal decisions, growth, housing, inflation, oil and energy, and more. Some of the markets include: “Fed decision in June?”, “Gas prices in the US this month?”, and “How rich will Elon Musk get before 2027?”
I can't tell whether the Moomoo prediction market will provide any bonuses for trading predictions. However, some sites offer third-party bonuses like I discovered during my Polymarket review. So you may watch out for bonus codes once Moomoo launches its prediction market. Here are the typical offers I see for trading event contracts:
You can find a Moomoo promo code on a third-party site and use it to claim a welcome bonus. This bonus can, for instance, offer a $10 trade bonus. It may also be usable on any market. To claim the offer, you might need to register with the bonus code, make a first deposit, and trade the required amount to get your bonus.
Moomoo may also offer a referral bonus, as top prediction markets do. You may be asked to generate your own referral link to share with friends. Once you do this, you can get referral credits for each friend who registers through your unique referral link and fulfills the trading requirements. This bonus can also come with a limit. For instance, get up to $500 in referral credits.
During my Moomoo review, I found the current options trading app easy to use. Hence, I expect the brand to nail functionality for its prediction market as well. Each prediction market category should be easy to find on the site or app. I also look forward to fast loading speeds that allow traders to react quickly to pre-event and live-event contracts. Live events could also feature a menu button for quick access at any time.
Moreover, helpful resources on trading predictions should be available to guide first-time traders on how the activity works. The outcome verification link needs to be clearly visible, and customer support links should be easy to find on the site.
In terms of aesthetics, Moomoo could incorporate its signature black and orange colors, which I think will help to keep the site’s features distinguished.
The current Moomoo mobile app is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Therefore, its prediction market app might be listed on the same platforms or accessible via the same app. Either way, the prediction market app should be responsive and offer a better on-the-go trading experience.
As I stated in my usability section, the app should load quickly on a stable network. If it comes through with all of these, the Moomoo mobile app for trading predictions will be ideal.
Just like I did while conducting my OG review, I assessed the current payment methods on Moomoo. The payment options on the trading app are limited, but they’re secure. These include ACH and bank wire transfer. When I reviewed both options, ACH deposits take up to 5 business days, while wire transfers take one to two business days. Besides, deposits don't incur ACH charges. However, if an ACH transfer is reversed, Moomoo charges $5 for the first reversal and $10 for each additional reversal. For wire transfers, it depends on the bank involved.
You can also make withdrawals through the same methods: ACH and bank wire transfer. Withdrawals via ACH take 3-5 business days, while wire transfers take 1-3 business days or longer.
However, I can't be definite about deposit or withdrawal charges for trading event contracts, as I haven't yet conducted a review of the prediction market. Nonetheless, like many prediction market sites, Moomoo might charge a fee for these processes.
I found three customer support options for traders on Moomoo currently. These include live chat (available 24/7), phone, and email. These options may also be applicable for trading predictions. When I contacted customer support via live chat, I was first connected to a bot that also provided helpful responses. Nonetheless, I still asked for a human support agent, and I was immediately connected. The agent was knowledgeable and usually responded within 2 minutes.
Email support takes longer; responses may take up to 24 hours. You also get detailed help through this method. If you prefer phone support, Moomoo offers it from Monday to Friday during a specific time of day. Moomoo’s help center is also comprehensive.
If these options are equally available to prediction traders, Moomoo will rank as a trader-friendly app.
Moomoo has already obtained regulatory approval from US authorities. So when the site finally launches, it may be regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) similar to Kalshi, which I noted in my Kalshi review. Like other prediction trading apps, to prevent underage trading, it’ll likely conduct a Know Your Customer check, ensuring only traders aged 18 or older can register.
In terms of security, Moomoo already uses SSL encryption to protect traders’ information. I even found that it enables multi-factor authentication to help protect trader accounts. I expect these features to be in place for trading event contracts also.
I can confirm that Moomoo is set to launch a prediction market for US traders. You'll be able to buy Yes-or-No shares on event contracts for sports, economics, and politics. The app could also expand into categories like culture, climate, and cryptocurrencies.
Moomoo may offer a welcome bonus and a referral bonus, as some prediction markets do. Whether bonuses might require a promo code, it’s too early to say for now. However, it's likely that these offers might exist to engage new traders.
To enable seamless event contracts trading, the trading app should be easy to use and mobile-optimized. You might be able to fund your account through current methods, including ACH or wire transfer. Both options are also supported for withdrawals. I expect Moomoo to offer multiple customer support options, including live chat, email, and phone. A comprehensive help center with helpful resources on prediction trading should also be available.
Moomoo has already received regulatory approval from US authorities. So I look forward to seeing that the CFTC regulates it.

Moomoo, as a brokerage, currently offers customer support through live chat, email, and phone. The trading app might do the same with trading predictions, too.
