Caesars Ontario Review 2026: Is it Legit & Safe?

Updated: Sep 19, 2025, 8:14 AM ET

Caesars is one of my favorite Ontario sportsbook brands and I must admit I’ve been a faithful customer here for years. However, in the below guide, my aim is to create an unbiased Caesars review for your benefit.

I’ve spent time looking at specific site features such as usability, licensing, and customer support, to give you peace of mind. But in this review, I’ll also look at the sportsbook, betting markets, and in-play betting so you can see what entertainment value you get from this operator, and whether it supports the sports you follow.

Does Caesars Ontario Have Its Core Features Sorted?

Like my Bally Bet review, I first checked out the “core features” of the Caesars sportsbook. These are boring things, but I believe a sportsbook MUST have them to give its customers a safe, enjoyable, legitimate, and reliable gaming experience. So, for this Caesars review, I dived into the licensing, customer support, payment methods, responsible gambling, and security.

Licensing

You must never play at an unlicensed online sportsbook! If a site doesn’t have a gambling license, it can do what it wants and you have a much higher chance of getting scammed. For example, the operator might refuse to payout your winnings, or have odds that are way below the market averages.

Caesars is 100% legitimate and reliable, and it has an Ontario gambling license. I have no reservations about this site or app and am confident that they comply with Ontario sports betting laws and Canadian law. It’s one of the best-known gambling brands in North America and is usually considered as one of the top operators.

New Caesar users can take advantage of the bonuses that comes with registration. The sportsbook deal is simple but rewarding — you just have to sign up, make a bet of $1 and then Caesars will double your winnings on your next 20 wagers up to $25 maximum per boost.

Alongside the sports bonus, there’s also the casino welcome package that Caesars casino players can receive. New players can claim a $10 sign-up bonus plus a 100% deposit match up to $1,000, as well as 2,500 Reward Credits when they wager $25 or more.

Customer Support Availability

Caesars has always had fantastic customer support availability, and although I’ve only had to use it a handful of times, I’ve always had a positive experience, and I know there are multiple ways to get help. You can browse the help center if you prefer to try and get help yourself. This is incredibly detailed and easy to browse through on the app.

Alternatively, there’s a live chat, which, from my experiences, seems to be available 24/7. The chat icon should be visible in the bottom right-hand corner of the app. Just click it, then click the “start a conversation” button and you’ll be able to get connected to a support rep. The few interactions I’ve had with the team have been fine - they’ve been quick to help and seem knowledgeable about the sportsbook.

Payment Methods

I want you to be able to easily make payments at Caesars, so using my own experiences, plus extra research, I looked at the payment system. Payment methods I am able to use include Visa, MasterCard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Interac. Please note that you might see different payment methods than me depending on what you have available or your location.

The minimum deposit and withdrawal limits are reasonable, I think and you can generally get started with as little as 10 CAD. My deposits have always been processed instantly and I’ve never had any problems. If your payment provider supports it, you can use payment authentication too for your deposits.

In regards to withdrawal processing times, I can’t say that I’ve ever been waiting more than 24 hours for my requests to be processed and to arrive in my bank account. This is definitely one of the faster-paying Canadian sportsbooks available. Withdrawal processing times will depend on the payment method you used, though.

Responsible Gambling

Caesars Ontario has a dedicated responsible gambling resource page, which I always like to see. It’s clear that they take responsible gambling seriously, and the page is packed full with useful information and help so you can stay in control. There are also links in the website footer to self-help telephone lines and resources.

You can use several responsible gambling tools, too. For example, I’ve always had a weekly deposit limit set at Caesars, and you can set daily and monthly limits too. There are reminders, timeouts, and self-exclusion options if you want to control how much you use the app, which I expect any respectable Canadian betting operator to offer.

Security

For a limited time, I used the desktop landing page, it did have proper security measures in place including SSL encryption and a HTTPS connection. It was more difficult to tell with the mobile app, but I was able to see that SSL encryption was also used. The app has other standard security features you can benefit from, including optional 2FA for your account login, and payment authentication where your payment provider supports it. I briefly looked at the documentation too and found things like the privacy policy and terms and conditions to be as I expected.

How Is the Usability of the Caesars Sportsbook Site and App?

With new betting sites or existing operators, I always look at the usability. I believe this is a core feature as it directly impacts your enjoyment when using the site/app, and how easily you can do things like placing bets or managing your account. For Caesars Ontario, I think there is a mixed bag. While the mobile app is amazing, there isn’t actually a desktop version of the site, which some people might find disappointing.

Caesars Ontario Does Not Have a Desktop Version

For desktop and laptop users, there sadly isn’t a desktop version of Caesars Ontario. I still find this incredibly strange, as in the other jurisdictions it operates in, you can use the desktop version of the sportsbook to manage your account, check markets, and place bets. That isn’t the case in Ontario, though, and there is only a landing page.

This landing page essentially allows you to select where you are accessing the site from (Ontario), and it then provides information on how to download the mobile app. You can do this either by clicking on the relevant store icon or using the QR code that pops up. I personally do use desktop versions of online sportsbooks, so for me, this was a major blow. However, I also have a smartphone and am quite happy to use downloadable apps too, so it wasn’t enough to make me consider looking at other legal betting sites in Canada, and I stuck with Caesars.

There Is an Awesome Mobile App

So, there’s no desktop site, but Caesars Sportsbook Ontario does have two awesome mobile apps. One for Android, and one for iOS. I checked the ratings and reviews of both apps, even though I already had the Android one installed. The App Store version has a 4.0-star rating from 800+ reviews, while the Google Play Store version has a 4.5 star rating from 30,000+ reviews.

Positive comments praised the usability of the app and the betting variety, but I did see some negative reviews that claimed the app was slow, crashed often, and was difficult to use. I didn’t experience any of these issues - the app has never crashed for me on my Samsung Galaxy, and I’ve always found it to be responsive. Perhaps this is an isolated issue on the iOS version of the app, as this is mainly where those negative comments came from?

In terms of usability, you get a compact setup with simple navigation for the different sports categories. I also like the classic green and white color scheme used and the Caesar's branding. Everything looks sharp and clean, and it’s one of the more modern apps that I’ve tested. I’ve used the mobile app for years, and for me, it just gives you a smooth gambling experience where you can quickly place bets, make deposits, and manage your account.

My Experience with Sports Betting at Caesars Canada

Lastly, we get to the good parts of this Caesars review - the actual sports betting. I know this is what you’re waiting for, and I agree that it’s one of the most important features a sportsbook must have. I’ve been a bettor with Caesars for years, and I’ve always been impressed with the bet variety, the support for different sports, and the coverage for US and Canadian pro leagues.

The General Sports Coverage Is Fantastic

Regardless of what sports you follow, this sportsbook will deliver. Like my Bet99 review, I think it’s got one of the largest listings I’ve seen, and currently supports these sports:

Australian Rules, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, Football, Golf, Handball, Hockey, Lacrosse, Motorbikes, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Snooker, Soccer, Softball, Table Tennis, Tennis, MMA, UFC, Volleyball.

I’m not a fan of these sports, but I like to see that you’ve got niche options like volleyball, softball, lacrosse, and motorbikes available, as well as the main sports that most people bet on.

The US Major Leagues Have Great Support

If you’re a fan of the major US and Canadian leagues, then you’ll love Caesars. It has epic support for the NFL, CFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, MLS, and WNBA. You’ve got coverage for all the matches and events, including the preseason, regular season, and post season clashes. These leagues also have the largest betting variety and range of prop bets.

I love that there is always a range of special bets available too. For instance, at the time of writing this, the NBA Finals were live, and I saw a range of special bets on the Pacers vs OKC match, such as 4 different players to score 20+ points. I like these bets as they add a little spice and excitement to the betting experience.

I’ve Always Had a Pleasing Gaming Experience Here

As I’ve said previously, I’ve used Caesar's Ontario for some time now, and I can never remember having a bad experience. It’s just a reliable sportsbook with a great variety and plenty of betting options. Yes, I haven’t won every bet I’ve placed here - but that’s to be expected. That doesn’t take away from the actual enjoyment this operator provides.

How I Found the In-Play Betting at Caesars Ontario

Caesars Sportsbook Ontario also has a separate in-play betting section. Just click on the “Live” option with the radar icon next to it and all the current live games will load. Compared to other Canadian sportsbooks I’ve tested, I think the in-play betting at Caesars is excellent. You get great variety, an insane game tracker, plus there seems to be more live streaming available than 99% of sportsbooks I’ve looked at.

General In-Play Betting Setup

As far as I can see, this Canadian sportsbook has in-play betting for all its sports markets. Like I said, click on the “live” button and you get all current events. I like that with this feature, you can then use the filters to view live matches for specific sports or events.

For betting variety, you’ve got the standard options like moneyline and spread bets, but also heaps of props bets. This will vary depending on the sport, though. For instance, I’ve noticed that the US/CA pro leagues generally have more props bets available, and popular sports like tennis, golf, and soccer.

Individual Match Setup

The individual match setup rocks for the live betting. The standout feature for me is the game tracker. This is one of the most detailed trackers I’ve seen and it basically gives you a blow-by-blow account of what’s happening. For example, with tennis games, you get a 2D render of the court, and can see the back-and-forth action of the rallies.

There are also advanced stats for each game, both in-game and pre-match, that can help make your betting decisions. I like the fact that Caesars also seems to have way more live streaming of events - while writing this Caesars revie,w I had a couple of French Open matches playing in the background!

Conclusion - Would I Recommend Caesars Ontario?

I hope you’ve found my Caesars review useful and you now understand what this Ontario sportsbook offers for Canadian customers. All that’s left is to give you my final thoughts and recommendations. It’s no surprise that this is one of my favorite sportsbooks - I’ve been a Caesars customer for ages and I still maintain that this is one of the best Canadian sportsbooks available. The only real weakness it has is that there isn’t a desktop version and you are limited to mobile gameplay.

I don’t see this as an issue, though - I love the mobile app and it gives a satisfying betting experience. Combine that with the diverse range of sports supported and the excellent in-play betting, and you have a top contender. If you want to give Caesars a try for yourself, you should click one of the links or banners featured on this page and then complete the registration process so you can make your first deposit and get betting.
