OLG is a well-known Ontario online gambling site that offers a range of services including a superb online casino. For the last month, I’ve been playing here and testing the site to bring you a detailed OLG review.
If you read on, you’ll learn everything there is to know about this online casino including the awesome selection of games you can play, how the site and mobile versions work, and if it has all the core features in place like a license, customer support, and a banking system. Here’s a look at what OLG has to offer.
To kick off this OLG review I gave the site a quick browse to gather my first impressions. Similar to Royal Panda Casino Ontario, I immediately saw that it had all the core features in place I expect Ontario online casinos to have such as a license, security, and customer support options.
You should only ever play at legal Ontario casinos that have a gambling license. This is because unlicensed casinos can act as they wish - they can withhold your money and use rigged games, for example.
There isn’t this problem with OLG. It’s operated by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, and it has a license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario which is the official licensing body for the province. From my extensive testing I am 100% convinced that this online casino is legit and you don’t have to worry about its authenticity.

I believe that customer support is also incredibly useful. Even if you never have to use it, knowing you can get help if needed gives you peace of mind. For OLG Casino Ontario, I found several support options including:
I looked at the FAQs first - this is basically the help centre section and you can search through various categories like getting started, your account, banking and payments, and location services. I liked the detail in this FAQ section and I think you’ll be able to find answers to most of the potential problems you may encounter.
If you do get stuck, give the live chat a try. You can choose between English or French live chat support which is fantastic, and you just have to choose your reason for opening the live chat. After that, you’ll get connected to someone quickly. While creating my OLG review, I tested the live chat 3 times; each time I got a reply from a human rep within 5 minutes max.

For banking, when I made deposits, the payment methods I saw included Visa Debit, Visa Credit, MasterCard, AMEX, Interac, and Apple Pay. This is by no means the biggest selection of payment methods I’ve seen, but I think that most Canadians will use credit or debit cards anyway so I don’t think it’s an issue.
As was the case at LeoVegas casino Ontario, my deposits were made instantly, and I was never charged any payment fees - plus you should be able to get started with as little as 10 CAD. For withdrawals, you can only use Electronic Funds Transfer, but I still found this a convenient method. There’s also a 10 CAD minimum withdrawal limit, and the withdrawal requests I made were processed between 1-5 business days. This certainly isn’t the fastest withdrawal system I’ve used at Ontario online casinos, but it’s not terrible either.

I like to see when Ontario online casinos promote responsible gambling, and OLG does this. You’ve got reminders and links to self-help resources on the website footer, and there’s various links to organizations like Play Smart and Connex Ontario. As a customer, I was also able to set deposit limits which is something I always do - I typically set a weekly limit. You can use other tools too, such as self-exclusion periods and reality checks to help stay in control.
Lastly, from my first sweep of this website, I noticed that it had all the relevant security features in place. I expect an online casino to at least have HTTPS connectivity and SSL encryption backed by a valid certificate and OLG has both of these features. You have extensive legal and policies sections too, which contain documents relating to accessibility, freedom of information, and the website user agreement.
Core features are important, but so is usability and accessibility. Which is why for this OLG review, I spent ages checking out the desktop website, and making sure that Ontario customers can play here using their smartphones.
I think the OLG Casino desktop website is OK, but it’s not the most attractive or modern I’ve played at. Essentially, it does the job, and it prioritizes usability. I like that you have the main game categories in a sub menu below the main navigation, so you can quickly jump from live dealer games to slots, for example.
There’s also a decent search function so you can find specific games if you want to. Account management is easy, and I had no problem accessing the payment system to make deposits and withdrawals. Overall, the desktop site is fine, but I think it could do with a little modernizing.
For mobile gaming, you’ve got an awesome Android and iOS app and both of them have amazing ratings. The App Store app has 270,000+ ratings and a 4.8 star ranking, while the Google Play Store version has a 4.7 star rating from over 77,000 reviews. From what I can see, it’s one of the most popular iGaming apps in Ontario.
I downloaded and tried the Android version of the app for my Samsung Galaxy s23 and I loved it! I prefer the app to the desktop website - it looks slightly better, while still having the same fantastic usability. The games I tested loaded OK, and I always had a stable connection when playing the live casino games here. From my testing, you get the full functionality of the desktop site, but in a more compact and mobile-friendly app.
Finally we get to the entertainment! Afterall, what is an online casino without a grand selection of games? This was my favorite aspect of OLG Casino, and I think that it’s done a fantastic job of creating a varied game library that will appeal to everyone’s tastes.
Slots galore! That’s what I found when I dived into the game selection at OLG Casino Ontario. As I found at Pokerstars.ca Ontario casino, slots and jackpot slots make up a large portion of the game library here, and I was impressed with the number of classic titles, and different slot mechanics covered. Some notable games I saw include:
For the jackpot slots, you’ve got multiple titles that are part of the King Millions progressive prize pool, and they also have the exclusive Rising Rewards jackpots which are only available at OLG.
I prefer table games, so I spent most of my time browsing this section. They have a dedicated table game category, and this includes blackjack, roulette, baccarat, War, video poker, poker, craps, and Sic Bo.
They have a great collection of classic video poker games such as Game King Video Poker, Game King Jackpot Video Poker, Five Play Draw Poker, and Ten Play Draw Poker.
I was most impressed with the blackjack though - you’ve got standard versions with 6-8 or 5-8 decks, but also single deck variants, and single player variants with side bets.
If you prefer live immersive casino action then you’ll want to dive into the live dealer section at OLG! This has everything from blackjack and baccarat, to roulette and game shows.
I like that they have multiple minimum play limits to suit different types of players, and on most live table games you can play with as little as 1-5 CAD. If you fancy something different other than table games, you can enjoy classic live game shows like Marble Race, Race Track Live, Lightning Storm, and Balloon Race from developers like Evolution.
I did! Creating this OLG review was immense fun, and overall, I was impressed with what this online casino offers. It’s not a flashy website, and I think that the game integration into the site could be improved, but for simplicity and entertainment, this is definitely one of the better Ontario online casinos available and I would certainly recommend it.
I think you’ll like the game variety, and whether you enjoy slots, live dealer games, or epic arcade games, there will be something to tickle your fancy.
