2021 PGA Tour FedEx Cup Final TOUR Championship Golf Picks, Predictions, Odds and Best Bets

An enthralling season of golf comes to and end this week with the 2021 TOUR Championship on Thursday morning at the East Lake Golf Course, Atlanta, Georgia. As with every event on the golf schedule, we've got three outright winner picks, ranging from a couple of favorites to some mega value!

We've gone through this week's TOUR Championship and found three guys that we like to win this week's golf tournament, varying from one of the top favorites, who still represents good value, down to some nice value on a couple of stars that look set for big weeks at longer odds! We're down to the final 30 players, with everyone beginning the week with 'Starting Strokes' based on their performance throughout the season. Scroll down to see how everyone is starting the week, beginning with Patrick Cantlay a 10-under par!

2021 TOUR Championship Best Pick

Jon Rahm +400 (4/1)
Bet $10, win $40 at PointsBet Sportsbook

As you can see above, Jon Rahm enters this week four shots behind leader Patrick Cantlay, with Tony Finau and Bryson DeChambeau also ahead of the Spaniard.

Despite starting the week in fourth place, Rahm is the second favorite in the betting, with sportsbooks and bettors alike believing he will make a surge.

Rahm is the best player in the world right now and it would be fitting for him to take out the TOUR Championship in a year that has seen him cement himself with his first major victory at the US Open.

Rahm is also no stranger to performing at this time of year, having won the 2020 BMW Championship and falling just short of the TOUR Championship after a disappointing 74 on the Friday.

I expect him to never be more than four shots off the pace this week, with the superstar 26-year-old taking over the lead some time on the weekend before holding on for victory.

2021 TOUR Championship Value Pick

Cameron Smith +2500 (25/1)
Bet $10, win $250 at PointsBet Sportsbook

Aussie Cam Smith has enjoyed his best season on the PGA Tour yet, which in turn is being rewarded with a 5-under start this week, ahead of 25 guys in the field.

Despite entering the week in fifth place, Smith's odds are way longer than the top four, with the fourth favorite for the week being Tony Finau at +700, whilst Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson also have better odds than than him.

Simply put, his starting position combined with his odds means that he has to be the value bet this week, with the 28-year-old out to take down the world's biggest names.

Smith has won once already this season and finished in the Top-10 eight times, with his best stats being second in birdies per round, third in sand save percentage, first in putts per round and first in shots gained: approach from 100-125 yards.

If you need any more reason to root for Smith this week, this was his response to being asked what he would do with the $15 million fist prize - "I'm good with what I've got. I don't know what I'd do, to be honest. Maybe some more fishing equipment."

2021 TOUR Championship Dark Horse

Collin Morikawa +4000 (40/1)
Bet $10, win $400 at PointsBet Sportsbook

So, last week's article pushed Collin Morikawa as the top pick of the week at +1800 and boy, did he disappoint. But now, as we look ahead to the TOUR Championship, we're back on him.

Collin is undeniably one of the most talented golfers on the planet and he won't be happy with his output last week.

The 24-year old doesn't miss the cut much, but when he does, he more often than not, bounces back strongly, including the two times he missed in 2020, with the following events seeing him finish 1st and T20. Last week was a non-cut event, but his performance would've easily seen him miss the weekend on any other week.

Of course, Morikawa is starting a long way back this week, but of the guys starting 3-under or worse, he presents the best value at +4000 (DJ is +2000 starting at the same score) and good days on Thursday and Friday to get him in contention are certainly not out of the question.

If you're looking for a slightly different play, PointsBet has him at +2000 to post the best 72-hole score (not including handicap) which also presents great value!
