Tastytrade, the Chicago-based online brokerage just launched CFTC-regulated Prediction Markets (as of July 27, 2026); meaning you can trade YES/NO event contract on real-world events, including Fed decisions, CPI, jobs reports, VIX, crude oil, and major cryptos.
The entry goes live alongside their suite of trading products that includes Stocks, Futures, Options, ETFs, Forex, Cryptos, and more. Now, it joins the likes of Kalshi, Polymarket, and Crypto.com, giving users the option to trade the event itself, instead of pure directional play, or say Stock picking, etc., all available directly inside Tastytrade’s web platform and mobile app.
It’s official: As of July 27th, 2026, Tastytrade has added a Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)-regulated Prediction Market to their suite of “Trading Products.” If you’re new to it, Tastytrade (formerly tastyworks) is a Chicago-based online brokerage with a strong focus on Stocks, Futures, Options, ETFs, Forex, Cryptos, and more in probability-based tools. Now it joins the list of prediction markets dominated by the likes of Kalshi, Polymarket, and Crypto.com.
Meaning, you get more than just directional, say, stock picking; now you can trade the event itself. At launch, they have market categories, such as U.S. Economics, International Economics, Financial Indicators, Cryptocurrencies, and Commodities, with likened catalog concentrates under each. At the core of it all, it’s powered by Apex Fintech Solutions’ turnkey Futures Commission Merchant (FCM), that’ll handle the custody of customer funds, collateral management, clearing, order routing, and settlement.
In all, the working remains the same, as you get to buy YES/NO shares for a “defined outcome”; roughly priced between $0.01–$0.99. Should the event contracts settle in your favor, your shares are settled (paid out) at $1.00 equivalents; if wrong, they expire, and you lose the initial investment.
Speaking of the “broader view,” here are key takeaways that could see a swifter uptake of Tastytrade’s prediction market.
All said, it’s not smooth sailing for Tastytrade’s prediction market. Here are likely stumbling blocks on the horizon.
There you have it: Tastytrade just joined heavyweights like Kalshi, Polymarket, and Crypto.com in the prediction markets arena with a strong focus on U.S. Economics, International Economics, Financial Indicators, Cryptocurrencies, and Commodities. Yes, they’re sidestepping sports contracts, a move that could relieve them from the ongoing state-to-state court battles. So, what are you waiting for? Join in using our on-page Tastytrade banners and check them out firsthand.
