Regular readers of this MLB daily picks article know that I usually steer away from the Tigers, but when the data projections insist with such a high edge on the odds identified, I have to listen.

The Rays are one of the best teams in baseball right now, there's no doubting that, but they're trotting out one of their worst starting pitchers in Michael Wacha who has a 3-4 starting record to go along with an obscene 5.54 ERA. At home, there is an opportunity for Detroit to capitalize and cause an upset.

Angels vs. Astros

BET: Angels at the run line with PointsBet (-120)

📈 54% probability

Ohtani is pitching, and in case you're not across it - he's pretty damn good. A 9-1 starting record in fact. He does face a test tonight, though, with the Astros a strong team and starting pitcher Framber Valdez no slouch. We've got this one being a close encounter where runs could be difficult to get. Look for LA to keep it tight.

Reds vs. Cardinals

BET: Cardinals at the run line with PointsBet (-130)

A lot of the public moneyline looks to be on the Reds, but don't sleep on these Cardinals! Both teams are pretty even on paper - the only exception being that the Cards do lack a little on offense. They'll be boosted, though, by the recent form of their starting pitcher Jon Lester. The St Louis ace has given up only three runs in his last 16.2 innings pitched. The run line provides some nice security for us here.
