March Madness Picks Saturday March 19, 2022
Michigan vs. Tennessee, 5:15PM ET
Pick by The Degenerates
Saturday we are picking against the team that won us our first bet of the tournament and going with Tennessee -6. We appreciate Michigan’s round 1 effort, but they are too inconsistent and will be no match for the red-hot Volunteer's team. Tennessee has won 16 out of their last 18 games and will continue to roll on Saturday.
Tennessee is a red shot shooting team coming off a 14 three-point performance with 5 different double-digit scorers in round 1 against Longwood. The Volunteer's average 75 points per game while Michigan allows 70 points per game. In addition, Tennessee is 12-6 ATS on the road and in neutral site games, as well as 11-2 ATS in games where they are favored by less than 10 points.
The Tennessee guards will pose a complete mismatch for the Wolverine backcourt. If Devante' Jones isn't back for Michigan, be on the lookout for Josiah-Jordan James, Santiago Vescovi, and Kennedy Chandler to have a big impact on the game. Dickinson won’t be able to dominate down low like the stat stuffing offensive center usually can. Tennessee has the size down low to match up with Dickinson and they are the better rebounding team. 7-footer Uros Plavsic and 6-foot-11 Jonas Aidoo have shown all year they’re capable defenders and will be an issue for Dickinson.
Tennessee’s pace of play and great shooting should be enough and eventually the Volunteers will pull away as the game progresses. We are predicting a double-digit win and hoping for a stress-free winner!

Richmond vs. Providence, 6:10PM ET
Pick by Jason Bevilacqua
Richmond were one of the surprises of the opening round, taking down Iowa and doing it on their own terms playing their own brand of basketball. It's fair to say that the Spiders are playing with house money now, and they've got nothing to lose in a winnable game against the Friars. Both teams rely on high powered offense, averaging 72 points per game each throughout the year. Our data model is expecting another high energy game that is easily sailing over the total.
