Dodgers vs. Reds, 12:35PM ET

Hunter Greene is a highly rated young talent but he'll have his work cut out for him this afternoon against a Dodgers team who have found their mojo again in Cincinnati. LA have scored 16 runs combined over their last two outings against the Reds on Tuesday and Wednesday and will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing Greene, who has a 5.26 ERA on the year. Not helping matters for the Reds will be who they have to contend with on the mound - only Clayton Kershaw. It doesn't bode well for the Redlegs.

Cubs vs. Pirates, 12:35PM ET

When two bad defenses come together, we generally see a lot of runs - and that has been true of this Cubs/Pirates midweek rendezvous. The three matches so far this series have averaged over 13 runs per game and to be honest, it's looking likely that we see more of the same today. The Pirates will have José Quintana (1-4, 3.66 ERA) start, pitting him against Justin Steele (2-5, 4.27 ERA) for the Cubs. Despite Quintana's solid ERA, he's had a tough month, giving up 4 runs in each of his last two starts.

Guardians vs. Twins, 1:10PM ET

Before we start, let us preface this by saying: we LOVE the Guardians. Their ascent to the top of the AL Central standings has been something else, but today their luck might just run out - at least for this series. The Guards have claimed the last two games against Minnesota over the past two nights with big comebacks in the closing innings, but generally when you're living a charmed life that eventually swings back the other way. The Twins will open up the starting pitcher battle with an advantage with Devin Smeltzer (3-1, 3.52 ERA) up against Zach Plesac (2-4, 4.41 ERA). These teams are relatively even and Minnesota are good enough to get one back over their divisional rivals.
