March Madness 2022 Winner Probabilities
Gonzaga Bulldogs - 34.4% Probability
Last year's runners up are out to go one better this time around, with the Zags in search of their first ever National title.
Led by projected Top-3 pick, Chet Holmgren, Gonzaga is projected to be a number one seed come selection Sunday, which they also were when the Baylor Bears took them down in 2021.
Despite being another year away from the NBA draft, look for Drew Timme to draw on last year's experience as he looks to cement himself as a Gonzaga and college hoops great.
Arizona Wildcats - 9.7% Probability
The first of three Wildcats teams to appear in the Top 10 favorites, Arizona is ahead of schedule according to a lot of people, which has worked to their benefit all season long so far.
Sitting at 22-2 overall and 12-1 against PAC-12 opponents, the Wildcats boast the second best NET rating and will be a tough beat for each and all of their opponents.
Baylor Bears - 7.7% Probability
Last year's champions are hoping to become the first back-to-back winners since Florida in 2007.
The Bears upset the Zags in last year's final, but will return this season with just one starter being the same, with Flo Thamba set to start at Center again this time around.
It's their backcourt though that will make or break their chances this season, with their starting guards averaging 18.3 and 13.1 points per game thus far.
Kentucky Wildcats - 7.3% Probability
In the words of their star player, Oscar Tshiebwe, the Kentucky Wildcats are fighters, and us bettors like fighters.
“Every time we come out we just fight,” Tshiebwe said. “We don’t take any plays off, we just fight until the end. That’s one thing I love about my team, we fight until the end."
Fighters cover the spread, and that's going to come in handy for all of us this month. Keep an eye on Kentucky.
Duke Blue Devils - 2.7% Probability
Another team being led by a projected Top-3 draft pick in Paulo Banchero, the Blue Devils are out to win their first tourney in seven years, and sixth overall.
Coach K has expressed his desire to be placed in the Midwest Bracket this season, so that's something to keep an eye on this Sunday.
If they are placed where they want to be, you can safely assume they will play the early rounds with a sense of comfort and familiarity, which would go a long way to them cutting down the nets come early April.
