High Probability Home Run: Mike Trout (Angels)

Our high probability HR bet today is our fourth-most likely home run hitter at 19.7%, the Angels Mike Trout.

Trout just returned after a month-long absence and is on a four-game hitting streak with eight hits, five RBI and a home run. Safe to say that he's feeling good.

Even though his average is down this year, when healthy, Trout ranks in the 95th percentile in Barrel %, 99th in Sweet Spot and xSLG - he's mashing the ball and at the perfect angle, and all but one of his homers have been no-doubters (gone in every park).

All 10 of his HR this season have come off righties which he'll face tonight in the Red Sox starter Brayan Bello. While Bello is a strong ground ball pitcher, he ranks poorly in getting players to chase which should help Trout extend his at-bats and is below average in Hard Hit % and Barrel %. 

Boosting Trout by 50% makes him a great value play at +550 (fair odds of +400).

Best Value Home Run: Fernando Tatis Jr. (Padres)

Our value play of the day is on the Padres' Fernando Tatis Jr. as they visit the Giants in San Francisco.

The DimersBOT predicts Tatis Jr. with a 17.7% probability of hitting a home run tonight, which would make our fair odds just +465, already presenting a 3.4% edge at his non-boosted odds.

Tatis has 13 home runs this year, putting him on pace for his best season since hitting 42 in 2021. As a home run hitter, Tatis profiles among the best, save for his career-low Launch Angle. Still, he's getting the ball out of the park and the majority of his home runs would be gone in Oracle where he plays tonight.

Giants starter Landon Roupp has been good this year, allowing six home runs but none in his past three starts. However, Roupp throws a curveball 40% of the time and Tatis destroys breaking balls, with 9 home runs and a .721 xSLG.

Boosting Tatis Jr. by 50% takes him to a whopping +900, which suggests just a 10% probability, for a 7.7% edge against our odds.

For those looking to play a longshot, pair these two bets for a +4995 home run parlay, up from +3330 odds pre-boost.

With just two 50% profit boosts, you won't be able to boost both singles and this MLB parlay, so you'll have to apply your profit boosts strategically across your picks.

Playing the singles gives you a higher chance at a profit, as hitting one is more likely than both, but playing the parlay gives you the biggest total payout.

If you play the parlay, whether with or without the boost, we recommend placing a smaller unit size than you would on a straight wager as it comes with significantly higher risk.
