Dimers Pro: CBB Tournament 2022 - Final Update

The nets have been cut and we have new champions after the Kansas Jayhawks' stoic come-from-behind win over North Carolina on Monday. With the tourney over and done with for another year, it's now time to sit back and reflect on how our Dimers Pro: CBB Tournament 2022 product performed.

What is Dimers Pro?

For the uninitiated, during the 2022 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, Dimers Pro took the best of Dimers.com and our in-house predictive analytics and put it into a new betting service to provide users with suggested bets and recommended stakes based on thousands of simulations of our data model throughout the tournament.

How did it go?

Over the course of the tournament, our DimersBOT ran 10,000 simulations for every game, matching the results of its simulations against the odds provided by all legal sportsbooks in America. If our BOT detected a big enough edge on the odds offered, a suggested bet was posted to the members-only Dimers Pro channels on Discord with a suggested stake.

Overall, our DimersBOT provided bets for 49 games, resulting in:

Despite the overall win/loss record finishing close to 50% split, suggested staking from our BOT based upon the Kelly criterion led to a disappointing result in the unit column with a final loss of 14.7 units. This was due to losses in games where our BOT recommended betting a higher unit size due to a higher-than-usual detected edge against the sportsbooks' odds.
