Last night's series opener before the Yanks and Jays resembled a Home Run Derby with a 12-3 win for New York, but expect things to get a lot tighter this afternoon. Toronto will send Alek Manoah (8-1, 1.66 ERA) to the mound, pitting him against Jameson Taillon (7-1, 2.93 ERA) for the Yankees. Manoah has the third-best ERA among all qualified starters in the MLB this season and has gone two straight games without giving up a run. Both clubs will be putting a strong defensive effort as a top priority.

Rangers vs. Tigers, 4:10PM ET

Take this Detroit team and throw them in the trash because this run they're on currently is bad. The Tigers once again couldn't score a run in last night's 7-0 loss to Texas - the second straight loss of the series so far. That makes 5 of the last 6 games where Detroit have score 1 run or less. It's hard to see anything less than another Rangers win against an offense that have no answers at all right now.
