MLB Betting Trends Tuesday June 28, 2022: Who's Hot, Who's Not and Where You Should Bet

Betting on baseball is all about knowing who's hot and who's not.
Dimers.com contributor Tony Bellissimo tours both camps in the Tuesday June 28, 2022 edition of Who's Hot and Who's Not in the MLB right now.

Which MLB team is hot right now?
The Houston Astros are one poor managerial decision by Dusty Baker away from being 8-2 in their last 10 and taking 3 of 4 last weekend from the Yankees in New York. Instead, they split the series despite a combined no-hitter Saturday and a 3-0 blown lead Sunday.
Turns out the Houston Astros won the series in New York. Nobody saw the official tie breaker take place but here it was. @JustinVerlander for the win

The Astros lead the AL West by double digits and will try their luck on the other side of town Tuesday night and send Framber Valdez (7-3) to the mound against the NL East-leading Mets.
Which MLB team is cold right now?
The Washington Nationals are buried in last place in the NL East and also don the league’s second-worst home record at 12-27 even after Monday night’s come-from-behind win over Pittsburgh.

The Nats also have the worst run differential in MLB at minus-110, and the future doesn’t appear so bright. Veteran lefty Patrick Corbin gets the nod tonight and even though he’s 3-10 with an unsightly 6.60 ERA, the Pirates feature a lefty heavy lineup so it might be a rare curly W for Washington.
MLB players: Who is in hot form?
Proving his emergence out of nowhere last season was no fluke, Texas outfielder Adolis Garcia is performing at a high level once again. With 10 games to go before the first half of the season is in the books, Garcia is on pace to surpass triple digits in RBIs and runs scored and not far off from being in the 30-30 conversation.

He has 15 homers, 48 RBIs and 11 steals to go with a respectable .255 average. The Rangers are in Kansas City Tuesday night looking for a second straight win with Jon Heasley starting on the mound for the Royals.
MLB Players: Who is out of form?
While the Cleveland Guardians have been one of the hottest teams in baseball since the calendar flipped to June, outfielder Myles Straw hasn’t contributed as much as he’d like.

Straw was a fixture in the leadoff spot until recently when manager Terry Francona finally had enough of his poor average and on-base percentage. Known primarily for his speed, Straw (11 steals) is hitting .202 with no homers and 8 RBIs. He drove in 48 runs last season.
