Rockies vs. Mets Best Bets

Thursday, August 25, 2022 - 7:10PM ET

PICK: New York Mets Team Total Over 4.5 (-120)

PICK: Jeff McNeil Over 1.5 Total Bases (+120)

The New York Mets begin a 4 game home series with the Colorado Rockies tonight at Citi Field. That makes this a good time to claim Dimers' exclusive BetMGM get $20 free + a risk-free bet up to $1,000 offer, just for signing up with their world-class sportsbook. You can find that offer ➡️ here ⬅️.

After back to back losses to the Yankees in the Bronx, the Mets' lead over Atlanta in the NL East is down to 1.5 games. New York had an off day after that short series, so I expect their bats to be sharp tonight where they will face Ryan Feltner.

The Colorado right hander has had a tough go of it this season. In 12 appearances (11 starts) he is 2-4 with a 5.88 ERA with a 1.39 WHIP and opponents are hitting .271 against him.

On the road his numbers are worse. In 6 starts away from Coors Field he has an ERA of 6.26 with a WHIP of 1.50 and opponents are hitting .306 against him.

Behind Feltner is one of the worst bullpens in the majors. The Colorado pen has a 2nd worst 4.83 ERA this season.

Over the last 30 days that number goes to 6.14 which is the worst in the majors by a 1.14 margin. The Rockies pen also got taxed yesterday in Colorado as starter Jose Urena only went 1.1 innings.

The Mets are also crushing right handed pitching at home, where they average 5.37 runs per 9 and are hitting .261.

One Mets hitter in particular loves hitting against righties, and that is Jeff McNeil. The Left hander is hitting .324 vs. righties with an ISO of .162.

McNeil has cashed his total bases prop in 16 of his last 30 games as well as 6 of his last 10 home games.

I like McNeil and the Mets offense to be focused tonight and come out swinging against this terrible Colorado pitching staff, so bet the Mets Team Total Over 4.5 (-120) and Jeff McNeil Over 1.5 Total Bases (+120) with BetMGM ➡️ here ⬅️ and claim an awesome new customer bonus while you're at it.
