LEG 1: Magic ML (-125) DraftKings

Let's start in the earliest game of this little five-game slate and take the Magic to win outright. Orlando owns an 8-5 record and sits at fifth in the East. They enter this game on a three-game winning streak with Toronto sitting at 6-7 and outside the (very early) playoff picture, managing just two wins on the road this year. Orlando is playing great defense, allowing the fourth-fewest points in the league so far this season and is first in defensive efficiency. Although their offense is 27th in the league in scoring, Toronto is averaging barely 1.5 points more per game. DimersBOT gives the Magic a 57% probability of winning tonight.

Trail Blazers vs. Suns 9:10PM ET

LEG 2: Blazers +13 (-112) DraftKings

This line has moved a half-point in our favor since I started writing this after sitting at 12.5 earlier, but we'll take it. Our model identifies a 55% probability of the Blazers covering on the road against the Suns tonight. The Blazers are not a good team, at the bottom of the league in the West, just a half-game above the Spurs. But for all their talent, the Suns have not been blowing teams away this year, covering a spread this large just twice. They've lost to those bottom-of-the-table Spurs twice and are just 5-7-1 against the spread (Portland is 5-8). The over/under for this game is set pretty low at just 223.5 and lower-scoring games mean a better chance of a cover.

LEG 3: Under 237.5 (-105) with DraftKings

We close out in the nightcap as we root for the under in Jazz vs. Lakers. Utah is 10-3 to the Over this season while Los Angeles is just 5-9. Lakers games have gone over this number just four times this season with two of those games needing OT to do so and interestingly, two of them against Sacramento who are just 6-7 to the Over this season. The Jazz clear this number often in their games but our model is favoring them to struggle a bit in this one, projecting a 55% probability of the under.
