Mariners vs. Athletics

BET: Total runs UNDER 8.5 with PointsBet (+100)

📈 2.5% edge on the sportsbooks' odds

We've got a matinee in Oakland with the A's looking to get one back after going down to the Mariners 5-3 in yesterday's series opener. Helping them do that will be starting Athletics leftie pitcher, Cole Irvin. The Oakland ace has been fairly impressive this season, notching an ERA of 3.57 while averaging six innings per start which makes him one of the best starting pitchers in the league for production.

That doesn't bode well for the Mariners who are toughing it out against the left-handers recently. Over their last ten games, Seattle average just 2.29 runs per nine innings when facing a leftier, compared with 5.91 when batting against right-handed pitching. That's a big differential, and when paired with Oakland's issues scoring overall (only 3.44 runs on average per game over their last ten), the Under is a bet that is too hard to pass up.

Rays vs. Phillies

BET: Total runs UNDER 9.5 with PointsBet (-115)

📈 57.8% probability

Tampa Bay are rolling and looking to keep it going as they travel to Philly to take on a Phillies team that have lost five of their last seven. Both starting pitchers are inexperienced with only limited innings pitched so far this season, but from the small sample size, Drew Rasmussen and Ranger Suarez look good to keep throwing heat. Our projections have this one sailing under the total with a high sense of confidence.

Giants vs. Mets

BET: Mets at the moneyline with PointsBet (-115)

📈 54.3% probability

The brutal stretch of tough matchups continue for the Mets who meet the Giants again, this time in New York for a three-game series after back-to-back-to back series against the Dodgers and Giants on the West Coast over the past week. It's been unsurprising that New York have lost eight of their last ten given the status of their opponents, but the stars may align tonight when Tylor Megill gets the chance to build upon his last-start win against the Giants at Oracle Park against a pitcher in Sam Long who has an ERA of 7.36 over his last three games. The Mets need to arrest the slide quickly, and our projections has them winning straight up.
