Phillies vs. Diamondbacks

It's been a hot minute since we've taken such a rank outsider in our daily picks articles, but the case can be made here that the Diamondbacks - yes, the Diamondbacks - can pull off a surprise for the second day running when they meet up with the Phillies in downtown Phoenix today.
Taking to the mound for the D-Backs will be Madison Bumgarner who has been ultra-impressive over his last month of baseball. In his last six starts, Arizona have gotten an average of 6 innings out of their star man, giving up only 12 runs in that time against the likes of the Giants and the Padres (twice). Philadelphia, having lost 2-3 in yesterday's series opener, are vulnerable, dropping five of their last seven overall. The odds are delicious for an in-form pitcher against an out-of-form team.

Marlins vs. Reds
BET: Total runs OVER 7.5 with PointsBet (-120)

Love this spot for both teams for a variety of reasons. The Reds are coming off a rough, rough few days with consecutive losses to the lowly Cubs while the Marlins are reeling after giving up a total of 25 runs in three games against the Braves.
We're expecting the heavens to open up with Luis Castillo taking the mound for Cincinnati (4.51 ERA) and the frustrated Reds' power hitters ready to unleash. We'll happily take the 7.5 total.

Brewers vs. Cardinals
BET: Total runs UNDER 8 with PointsBet (-110)

The Cardinals have fumbled the bag in this series against Milwaukee, failing to take advantage of several chances to claim a victory in the two games so far. Their assignment to avoid a series sweep will get tougher with Brandon Woodruff taking to the mound for the Brewers. Woodruff has an impressive ERA of 2.18, giving up only 5.84 hits per nine innings. The 'Cards may have missed their chance with runs going to be very hard to come by.
