Monday MLB Parlay Analysis

Texas Rangers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, 6:36 PM ET

LEG 1: Pirates +2.5 (-220) with DraftKings

Last Friday, we entered the weekend in style, cashing a +472 NRFI Parlay! We cashed three of our five daily parlays last week. Let’s try to beat that today! And it begins with the Pirates!

The Pirates have a real shot at winning this game but the +2.5 gives us some wiggle room. They face Dane Dunning for the Rangers today.

Dunning has really embraced his starting role. On the year, Dunning has a 1.69 ERA. The reason I think the Pirates will be able to get to him is the expanded sample size we saw from Dunning as a starter last year.

In 2022, Dunning had a 4.46 ERA as a starter. The Pirates are hitting .247 in their last three games vs righties, so they should be able to give us some offense today.

Luis Ortiz enters this game with a 5.62 ERA. While it may seem concerning, the Rangers offense is due a cool-off game especially away from Texas.

The Pirates bullpen has been a pleasant surprise for most of this young season. I believe they will hold it down enough for us to cash this alternate run line.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Philadelphia Phillies, 6:41 PM ET

LEG 2: Phillies Moneyline (-205) with DraftKings

Coming off two straight wins in Pittsburgh, the Diamondbacks travel to Philadelphia and face Zack Wheeler and the Phillies.

This is a bad spot for the Diamondbacks. Wheeler has a 3.34 ERA at home, but we’ve seen a 10.31 K/9 ratio at home as well.

Wheeler is very comfortable pitching at home and this is a spot where the Diamondbacks won’t produce a high offensive output. Last season when they faced Wheeler, he shut them out through six innings.

Tommy Henry and his 5.00 ERA start for the Diamondbacks today. When Henry faced the Phillies last year, he got rocked for seven earned runs.

While the Phillies offense has yet to find any consistency, this a great spot for them to get it going against a young pitcher on the road. Give me the Phillies to win this game today and cash our second leg of this parlay!

Detroit Tigers vs. Kansas City Royals, 7:40 PM ET

LEG 3: Under 10.5 Runs (-205) with DraftKings

The final Leg to cash this +221 Parlay is an alternate total. The regular line sits at 8.5, and while I don’t hate the regular Under, I rather give us a little wiggle room.

As it currently stands, 80% of bets are on the Over 8.5. While I am not strictly fading the public here, I am not confident they get a sweat-free winner.

Today, we see Michael Lorenzen vs. Brady Singer. We will start with Singer. He enters with a 7.09 ERA, yet the Royals are favored today. Singer has had his fair share of bad starts this season,. But he’s had a couple good ones in there too! Only one & two ER in 6 IP in his last two starts.

The Tigers offense is always capable of laying an egg, especially on the road. Lorenzen is coming off his best start of the season. 6 IP, 0 ER, 7 K’s vs. PIT. While it’s unlikely he does that again, he has allowed one or fewer ER in three straight starts in May.

We can afford a couple runs here, but hopefully not too many.

Both bullpens aren’t great. They will give the other team run opportunities but I am confident we can get out of the starting pitchers with a reasonable chance.

Let’s cash this three-leg parlay to start the week!
