First Touchdown Scorer Predictions for Super Bowl LVII

Using trusted data and predictive analytics from 10,000 simulations of every NFL game this season, Dimers.com crunches the numbers to find the NFL players most likely to score the first touchdown in Super Bowl LVII.

Here are the players most likely to get into the end zone first in the big game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

As you'll see below, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is the most likely first touchdown scorer in Super Bowl LVII, closely followed by Travis Kelce, the Chiefs TE. From there, there are a number of different guys worth considering for those first touchdown scorer tickets.

For every 6.84 Super Bowl's simulated, Hurts scored the first touchdown in at least one of them, making him slightly better than a one in seven chance of being the first player to get in for six at Super Bowl LVII in Arizona.

First TD Scorer Team Probability
Jalen Hurts Eagles 14.6%
Travis Kelce Chiefs 12.6%
A.J. Brown Eagles 8.8%
DeVonta Smith Eagles 6.9%
Miles Sanders Eagles 6.8%
Isiah Pacheco Chiefs 6.6%

Anytime Touchdown Scorer Predictions for Super Bowl LVII

We've also put our NFL model prediction data to the test to determine which players are most likely to get into the end zone at any time during the Super Bowl.

Our projections say these six guys should be considered when placing your Anytime Touchdown Scorer bets.

Anytime TD Scorer Team Probability
Jalen Hurts Eagles 60.7%
Travis Kelce Chiefs 55.1%
A.J. Brown Eagles 40.8%
Jerick McKinnon Chiefs 34.7%
DeVonta Smith Eagles 34.2%
Isiah Pacheco Chiefs 34.2%

Jalen Hurts

Hurts rushed for 13 touchdowns this season, after rushing for 10 a year ago. He also rushed for touchdowns in each of Philadelphia's previous two postseason games, and his ability to run is part of what makes him special. Hopefully the two weeks off has given him some time to recover from whatever it was that was plaguing him against San Francisco.

Travis Kelce

The Eagles will be looking to take Kelce out of this game, as the Chiefs are thin at wide receiver and Mahomes will have no choice but to go to his favorite target often. Even knowing that, it isn't a bad idea to throw a little money on Kelce to score. The reality is that he has been the focal point of a defense often throughout his career, and that hasn't stopped him from scoring in the past. Also, his size is something that defenses can't do anything about. So, he'll be a threat to score down by the redzone. There's a reason the guy scored 12 touchdowns this year. And he has three touchdowns in the playoffs already.

A.J. Brown

Brown hasn't yet had a moment in these playoffs, as he has just seven catches for 50 yards through two games. But Brown is coming off a regular season in which he had 88 catches for 1,496 yards and 11 scores. He is the top option in this passing game, and he'll need to come through in order for Philadelphia to have a shot in this one. With that said, it's worth taking Brown to score a touchdown in this game. He should turn in a big performance as long as Hurts isn't missing easy throws, like he did last week.

Jerick McKinnon

Last week, it was Pacheco that dominated the touches in the Chiefs backfield, but things can change fast in the NFL. If Kansas City ends up trailing in this game, the team could turn to McKinnon as a receiver out of the backfield. McKinnon had a total of nine touchdowns over the final six weeks of the regular season, so he has proven that he can deliver when called upon. He's potentially worth taking a flier on as an anytime TD scorer in this game, especially considering Pacheco is a rookie. It isn't out of the question that the Chiefs would turn to a veteran over a younger player.

DeVonta Smith

If Brown isn't going to be a factor in the passing game for the Eagles, it'll need to be somebody else. Perhaps it'll be Smith that has a big game for Philadelphia, as he did have a touchdown and 61 yards in the playoff game against the Giants a few weeks ago. Smith has the speed to get behind a defense, but it'll be up to Hurts to put one on on him. The quarterback did that regularly during the regular season, so it's not out of the question that the former Alabama wideout will find the endzone here.

Isiah Pacheco

As we mentioned earlier, it was Pacheco that was getting the rock for the Chiefs in the win over the Bengals in the AFC Championship Game. The rookie could always make a mistake that has him fall out of favor in the biggest game of the year, but Kansas City loves what he brings to the table. He's a tough, physical runner and will have his chances to make a stamp on this game. With that in mind, you'll want to throw a little something on him to score. Being the lead back in an elite offense is a very good role to have.

How To Bet On Touchdown Scorer Props?

Short for 'proposition', an NFL prop bet is a wager based on the occurrences or non-occurrences of events during a sporting event. These situations may have no bearing on the game's outcome or even the final score.

Props typically include individual players or teams reaching specific milestones. These milestones may include the players predicted to score a touchdown, the number of yards a quarterback will throw for, and how many rushing yards or receiving yards a player will register.

Except for touchdown scorer props, generally you will see a line for yards (Over/Under) and of course odds for touchdowns. We use these odds and match them against the probabilities generated from our predictive analytics model, known as DimersBOT, to identify edges for sports bettors to exploit and win more many bets than they lose.
