MLS Best Bets for Week 17

Philadelphia Union vs. Montreal

With three straight wins and unbeaten in their eight games, the Union are almost an autobet at this point. They host Montreal this weekend, looking to atone for their 3-2 loss away back in March the last time these two teams met. Philly have well and truly settled into their groove since that point, getting to the form that saw them as MLS Cup finalists last season. Our MLS predictions model loves this play, rating the Union as a 68.6% chance to win.

New York Red Bulls vs. Orlando

As one of the worst scoring teams in the competition, taking the Under 2.5 Goals in NY Red Bulls games has been a wagon this season so far. Hitting in nine of the last ten games, this is a team who are seriously struggling in front of goal but make up for their shortcomings with a resolute defense, ranking second in the MLS for goals conceded per game. Similarly, Orlando haven't set the world alight up front either, averaging just 1.2 goals per game through their opening 17 matches of the season. Goal lovers will not love this game with defense the most likely prevailer.

St. Louis vs. Houston

The most powerful offense in the league has been firing in the past two matchweeks for St. Louis, scoring seven goals and just conceding once as they continue their dominance in the Western Conference. They host the Houston Dynamo on Saturday night - a team that is reeling from a 6-2 loss on Wednesday against Vancouver. The Dynamo simply won't have enough to combat this St. Louis team with our model expecting an easy win for City.
