MLB Futures 2022: Latest World Series Winner Predictions and Bets

The MLB All-Star break provides the perfect opportunity for us to check with our futures model and find the teams presenting value to win the 2022 World Series.

Our MLB model's preseason picks are still all in contention for postseason baseball, but with a more comprehensive sample size now available with half the season played, DimersBOT has made some slight tweaks to the teams it views as the best value propositions for this year's Fall Classic.

Want to build some bankroll after the MLB All-Star break? There are currently two great MLB sportsbook offers in the market right now.

DraftKings Sportsbook: Bet $5 and get $150, no matter what. If you've not registered with DKs you can claim this offer ➡️ here ⬅️

Atlanta Braves to win the World Series

  • Win-loss record at the All-Star Break: 56-38
  • Dimers' probability to win the World Series: 17.5%
  • Implied odds based on their probability: +450
  • Current best available odds: +900 with BetMGM

The reigning champs remain our best bet for this year's World Series. Like in 2021, the Braves began the season slowly before hitting their straps over the past month to put themselves firmly in the Wild Card positions, and only 2.5 games behind the Mets for 1st place in the NL East standings. This team is gathering momentum again and demand respect.

St. Louis Cardinals to win the World Series

  • Win-loss record at the All-Star Break: 50-44
  • Dimers' probability to win World Series: 5.4%
  • Implied odds based on their probability: +1650
  • Current best available odds: +2200 with BetMGM

The Cardinals find themselves locked in a battle to win the NL Central, only 0.5 games behind the Brewers at the break. Led by two elder statesmen in Paul Goldschmidt and Adam Wainwright, this industrious St. Louis team have proven to be consummate pros this year. Our odds say they should be closer to +1650 to win the World Series, but a variety of 'books are offering far bigger odds. If they do clinch the division, expect the +2200 available to vanish quickly.

Minnesota Twins to win the World Series

  • Win-loss record at the All-Star Break: 50-44
  • Dimers' probability to win World Series: 2.5%
  • Implied odds based on their probability: +3900
  • Current best available odds: +5000 with PointsBet

The Twins have been a surprise in the AL Central, establishing a 2-game lead on our preseason World Series long shot, the Cleveland Guardians. While the division appears to be the most hotly contested with the White Sox not too far behind, Minnesota have shown enough composure this season, particularly against their divisional rivals, to justify their favoritism with the sportsbooks to come out on top (+120). They're a handy bet to make to claim the Commissioner's Trophy with odds of up to +5000 available with PointsBet.
