US Open Best Bets: Top Tennis Picks for Thursday
Caroline Garcia vs. Ons Jabeur - 7:00PM ET
Not many players in the world can say that they are playing as well as Garcia right now, but seeing her as such a heavy favorite against a player of Jabeur's caliber is pretty shocking. Garcia has done a great job of removing all of the holes in her game to become one of the top players on the planet again, but Jabeur has been a top-tier player for quite some time now. The Tunisian also happens to be playing some great tennis in New York, as Jabeur has only dropped one set through five matches.
Garcia actually hasn't lost a single set in this year's US Open, so we know the risk of going against her in this match. But Jabeur is actually 2-0 in this head-to-head series and one of those victories was a straight-set win at the US Open in 2019. And overall, we like that we can still win this bet in a loss, as we're only asking Jabeur to force a decider here.
Jabeur might not be a household name or anything, but she should have a lot of answers for Garcia in this match. And while this is definitely a bit juicier when it comes to odds, it's just really tough to lay off this play.
PICK: Jabeur to win a set, which you can get at -170 with DraftKings

Aryna Sabalenka vs. Iga Swiatek - 9:00PM ET
If you've been reading this column throughout the US Open then you're undoubtedly sick of us picking against Sabalenka. But this time is a bit different than the rest, as she'll now be running into the best player in the world.
Swiatek hit something of a rough patch beginning with her loss to Alize Cornet at Wimbledon, as she lost four of the last eight matches she had played heading into this year's US Open. But Swiatek is back on track after having made it to this point in New York, and her straight-set win over Jessica Pegula on Wednesday was especially impressive.
If we were betting Swiatek at -2.5 games to beat Sabalenka when the world No. 1 was in the midst of her legendary run earlier this year, the odds likely would have been something like -250 and it would have been an alternate line just to get the spread down that low. With that said, getting it at -140 here is just too valuable to pass up.
Swiatek looks to be regaining her swagger and she has what it takes to dictate points against the powerful Sabalenka. There's a reason she's 3-1 in their four previous match-ups and she should be able to cover with ease here.
PICK: Swiatek -2.5 games, which you can get at -140 with DraftKings
