PGA TOUR: FedEx St. Jude Championship Matchups Parlay 2023

The regular season of the PGA TOUR has wrapped up as we tee-off for the FedEx Cup playoffs. The action gets started with the first of three events: the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. Golf fans and bettors all over are looking to take in the action and win a bet or two with just a few events left this year. With that in mind, we have again used our powerful head-to-head matchups tool to build a matchups parlay at odds of +2790. This golf parlay has been built thanks to our predictive analytics model and the odds on offer at DraftKings Sportsbook.
DimersBOT's favorites to win the FedEx St. Jude Championship this week are Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm, but in this column, we'll be analyzing the head-to-head market.
FedEx St. Jude Championship Matchups Parlay for 2023
Our parlay for the 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship has landed, with four legs totaling odds of +2790 with DraftKings. We also recommend placing a round robin bet on this, giving you a nice payout if only two or three of the legs end up winning.
Leg 1: Tommy Fleetwood (+100)
Our first leg for this week is one of our stronger bets of the tournament, Tommy Fleetwood, paired up against Collin Morikawa who's not entering in the best form.
It's no question of who's been playing better golf; Morikawa has two missed cuts and a withdrawal in his past five events, while Fleetwood has one MC and hasn't finished lower than T10.
DimersBOT rates Fleetwood with a 49% chance of winning this matchup, with a 5.4% chance to tie, but more notable is that Morikawa's odds imply a 55% chance of winning, though we have him at just 45.6%.
Leg 2: Patrick Cantlay (-120)
The second leg of our FedEx St. Jude Championship parlay is for Patrick Cantlay to outperform Viktor Hovland across the course of the week.
Both golfers are in similar form, both on the year and as of late. Cabtlay has eight top-10 finishes this year while Hovland has seven. In their past four events, they've split the head-to-head matchup down the middle.
Cantlay gets a 53.3% chance to win this matchup, and if you factor in the tie probability of 5.3% which would give us a push, a better value compared to Hovland who is +100, but should be +145 per our model.

Leg 3: Emiliano Grillo (-120)
Next up we have a matchup between two golfers further down the odds board, with Emiliano Grillo to beat Cameron Davis.
The Argentinian has seven Top-10 finishes this year and one win, compared to Davis' five Top-10s and no wins. However, they enter this event in strikingly similar form. Grillo's last four events have gone: T10, T6, MC, T15 while Davis has gone T7, T10, MC, T17.
Grillo gets a 53.4% chance to win this matchup, with a 5.1% probability of a tie, compared to Davis who has just a 41.5% chance to win. Grillo has a 7% greater probability than Davis just to finish in Top 20, making this a solid bet for the weekend.
Leg 4: Brian Harman (+100)
Our fourth leg this week is for The Open winner Brian Harman to win his matchup against Tom Kim.
Both of these golfers enter this event en fuego, but we believe the books have this one priced incorrectly. While Kim is the favorite at -120, we have him at a 44.2% chance to come out on top compared to Harman's 49.9% chance. Plus, with the tie at 6%, we're getting an advantage.
Harman hasn't finished outside T12 in his last four events, including a T2 and a victory at his most recent event, which also happened to be the final major of the year, The Open Championship with a -13. Kim finished in a four-way tie for second with a -7.
Leg 5: Sepp Straka (+115)
Perhaps our best bet in the parlay based on the misprice given to the favorite, we take Sepp Straka to beat out Cameron Young at TPC Southwind.
DimersBOT has the matchup dead even, with Straka at a 47% probability from our model to beat out Suh, who gets a 46.9% chance, with the tie at 6.1%. What stands out about this one to us, is that Young is priced all the way out to -140, but our model says they should be equal odds, closer to +113.
Though they have the same number of Top 10s, Top 25s and cuts made, Straka has simply shown more upside as of late with a victory just three events ago at the John Deere Classic and a T2 at an incredibly difficult Open Championship.
