Leg 1: Christian McCaffrey 40+ Receiving Yards

Christian McCaffrey continues to redefine what elite running back play looks like in 2025. Averaging 66.5 receiving yards per game, he’s functioning as much as a WR2 as he is a workhorse back. Kyle Shanahan has fully leaned into his dual-threat ability, designing checkdowns, angle routes, screens, and motion-based mismatches specifically for McCaffrey to exploit.

This week, the matchup screams value. Carolina ranks 24th in receptions allowed to opposing running backs, a soft spot in a defense that otherwise has some individual talent. The 49ers are one of the most efficient offenses in the league at intentionally feeding their best players — and McCaffrey is exactly that.

Dimers projects 46 receiving yards, which comfortably clears the 40+ alt line while still leaving room for McCaffrey to break the game open in the air.

Leg 2: Ricky Pearsall 40+ Receiving Yards

Ricky Pearsall returned from his PCL injury in Week 11, and while he didn’t immediately produce like he did early in the season, that’s expected after time off. What matters more is what he showed in the first month of 2025: consistency, explosiveness, and volume. In that opening stretch, Pearsall logged two games over 100 yards and hit 40+ receiving yards in every appearance.

Now with a week of reps under his belt and hopefully a snap count trending upward, Pearsall is positioned to slide back into his productive role.

Dimers projects 47 yards, putting him right where he was pre-injury and making the 40+ number a strong buy-low opportunity given his potential when healthy.

Leg 3: Xavier Legette 25+ Receiving Yards

The Carolina receiver will look to build off an impressive showing last week where he logged 83 yards on four catches against a Falcons defense that’s been one of the toughest against the pass all season.

With Tetairoa McMillians's form for the Panthers insisting that he draws the most attention from opposition defenses, Legette's opportunity opens in a spot here that our model likes. At just 25+ yards, the threshold is extremely gettable, and Dimers’ projection of 31 yards supports the idea that Legette only needs one or two solid catches to cash this leg.
