With the addition of two new NHL prop markets for Dimers Pro users this season - Points and Assists - we have more data at our disposal than ever before as we look to cash in with these props and a +1620 data-backed NHL parlay.

Why you need to bet on these three NHL players on Wednesday, January 21

Our model has simulated all four games on Wednesday over 10,000 times, identifying the best data-backed ways to bet on each, from game lines to player props.

What primarily makes these three players stand out is each of them gets at least one prop with Dimers value, as well as one or more corresponding positive prop trends, providing each player with multiple datapoints to support each bet.

Sidney Crosby (Penguins)

The Penguins veteran and future Hall-of-Famer is all over the Dimers website today - multiple positive trends, our Top 10 goalscorer probabilities and a Dimers NHL prop with an edge, which is where we are backing him tonight in Penguins vs. Flames.

Crosby draws a 51.2% probability to tally over 2.5 shots on goal (SOG) tonight vs. the Flames, just as he did in their previous meeting this season.

This prop gets a 4.7% edge thanks to the plus money odds at DraftKings, as well as a corresponding favorable trend, given a 3.5-star rating by our model on our NHL trends page, recording at least 3 SOG in 7 of his last 11 games.

Crosby recorded 2 SOG last night hasn't gone under 3 SOG in back-to-back games since the end of December, and his matchup with the Flames is favorable as they rank bottom-10 in the NHL in both shots and goals against, and who will be starting goalie Dustin Wolf, who's seen 30+ shots and 4+ goals in five of six starts this month.

Bet: Sidney Crosby over 2.5 Shots on Goal (+115 on DraftKings)

Kaapo Kakko (Kraken)

In the Kraken vs. Islanders game, our model identifies multiple prop edges on Seattle's Kaapo Kakko who's in the midst of one the best months f his career, and most productive sine joining the Kraken midseason last year.

Kakko gets an edge to score both a point and assist, with a higher probability on the point (46.0%) but slightly better value on longer odds (+220) on the assist, which is the prop we're looking at.

Both props land in our trends page with a 5-star rating, both hitting in 7 of Kakko's past 11 games.

However, all of those games with a point are by way of an assist - his only goals this month came in a game in which he also recorded an assist, scoring twice in that game. He's only scored a goal in two other games this season, making him far more likely to get a point via an assist, with his fair odds at +190.

The Islanders allow the third-fewest goals in the NHL, but expected starter Ilya Sorokin has allowed 3+ goals in five of his past seven games, the other two being shutouts where he had to stop 35 and 44 shots.

Bet: Kaapo Kakko to get an assist (+220 on DraftKings)

Brock Nelson (Avalanche)

The final prop is our best goalscorer pick of the night, Brock Nelson of the Colorado Avalanche.

The 34-year-old has found a new home with the Avs after spending his first 11.5 seasons with the Islanders, scoring 30 goals in 66 games in blue and burgandy, 24 of them this year.

Nelson not only gets a five-star trend from our model thanks to his hot scoring in January, recording 10 total goals in his last 10 games, but a Dimers edge at a 41.3% probability to light the lamp, for fair odds of just +140.

He gets the highest probability of any player with an edge to score tonight as a part of the league's top-scoring offense against a Ducks team that recently snapped a streak of allowing 4+ goals in eight straight games.

Bet: Brock Nelson anytime goalscorer (+160 on FanDuel)

How to bet these props in a parlay

While each of these NHL prop picks carries an individual betting opportunity identified by our model, bettors looking for alternative betting options can use this data in multiple ways, such as a three-leg parlay of the props above, or in a three-leg goalscorer parlay or round robin, for example - just more ways to put the Dimers data to use.

Based on probability, each player presents value in the market, with our model recommending them as straight bets based on the odds.

NHL Props Parlay (+1620 on DraftKings): B. Nelson 1+ Goal, K. Kakko 1+ Assist & S. Crosby 3+ SOG
