The Buffalo Sabres head to Washington tonight to face-off against the Capitals at Capital One Arena.

This is a must win game for both teams as they are tied for fourth in the Eastern Conference Wildcard standings, five points behind the Islanders, who hold the final spot.

The Sabres received a boost on Monday as Alex Tuch returned from injury and helped them to a 4-3 win in Toronto.

Buffalo went 2-6 without Tuch and only averaged 3.1 goals per game in that span. On the season, the Sabres average 3.6 goals per game, which is third most, and on the road they average 3.7 goals per game.

Washinton is only allowing 2.8 goals per game at home this season but the Sabres have had their way with them thus far.

Buffalo holds wins of 7-4 and 5-4 against the Caps this season. Charlie Lindgren is the likely starter in net for the Caps.

Lindgren has a Save Percentage of .905 this season and he has allowed at least three goals in each of his last four home starts, against much lesser competition.

I am also targeting Buffalo Power Forward tage Thompson to eclipse his SOG prop and score a goal tonight.

Tage has terrorized the Caps this season and he has four goals on 12 shots during the two meetings. Thompson has had at least four shots on goal in 50% of his road games this season.

Tage also has not scored a goal in five games, which equals his longest drought of the season.

I see this matchup as a perfect bust out spot, as I'll back the Sabres offense and their star to handle Washington tonight.
