The short two game NHL slate tonight brings plenty of opportunity for shots on goal props.The card features two of the bottom four teams in shots allowed in the Anaheim Ducks, who visit the Calgary Flames, and the Chicago Blackhawks, who visit the Florida Panthers.

The Ducks are allowing a league high 39 shots per game this season and the Hawks are allowing 33.9, which is 4th most in the league.

On the road, these are the bottom two teams in shots allowed as the Ducks allow a league worst 39.8 away from home and the Hawks allow 36.3. Fittingly I have targeted three shots on goal player props, fading both these teams.

My first two targets are on the Florida Panthers in Carter Verhaeghe and Aaron Eklbad. Let's start with Verhaeghe. Carter has hit 4+ shots on goal in 19/30 of his home games this season (63%) and 12 of his last 14.

He averages 3.7 shots on goal at home on 5.5 attempts. Next we have defenseman Aaron Ekblad. Ek has been a horse on home ice, where he has hit 4+ shots on goal in 13 of 26 home games (50%) and 10 of his last 12.

Ekblad averages 3.7 shots on goal at home on 5.9 attempts. Now let's turn to the Calgary Flames, where I will target Mikeal Backlud.

Backlund has hit 4+ shots on goal in 15/31 home games (48%) and seven of his last eight. He averages 3.3 shots on goal on home ice on 5.3 attempts.
