In a crazy Friday where 57 home runs were scored across the league, both the Giants and Marlins combined for 18 runs in San Francisco's thumping win last night - but we expect things to calm down a little more this afternoon. The Marlins will have Pablo López (4-2, 1.83 ERA) start on the hill, up against Logan Webb (5-1, 3.52 ERA) for the Giants. Both of these guys are studs and economical. Don't be surprised this one turn into a real grind in the ilk of Thursday's series opener that Miami won 3-0.

Joe Musgrove was able to take care of business for the Padres and arrest a 4-game slide last night against the Brewers. The Friars are well placed to get a second consecutive win in Minnesota tonight. San Diego ace MacKenzie Gore (3-1, 1.71 ERA) been prolific in his 9 starts in 2022 and will look to continue that hot form into the evening.

The Nats were finally able to notch a W yesterday after a string of 4 uncompetitive losses, but once again, bad defense was at the forefront. Washington gave up 5 runs to the Reds on Friday night, making it an average of 7.15 runs scored by their opposition over their last 5 games.
