Pump is the newest provably fair game from Stake Originals, the house software at Stake.us that has created 19 unique casino-style games to date. The great thing about Pump is that it’s super easy to play. You just need to pump air into your balloon, increase your win multiplier as you do, and try not to make it pop.

How to play Pump at Stake.us
Like most other Stake Original games, the beauty of Pump is in its simple, but customizable gameplay. I’ll tell you about the auto gameplay and changeable difficulty levels a bit later on, but for now let’s run through the basics.
The game has extremely simple graphics, which allows you to focus on the red balloon with the multiplier written in it (starting at 1.00x). From the starting point, this is how the order of gameplay goes:
- Enter the number of GC or SC you wish to play with
- Select your game difficulty (Easy, medium, Hard, or Expert)
- Click the “Play” button to pump the balloon for the first time
- After each pump, you can either pump again or cash out
How the payout works
Each time that you pump the balloon, the multiplier written in the middle will climb. However, if you pump it one time too many before cashing out, the balloon will pop and you’ll lose. If you set the difficulty level to “Expert”, the maximum multiplier that you can win is 3,203,384.80x.
What coins can you use to play Stake.us Pump?
You can play Pump with both of the on-site virtual currencies at Stake.us. For those of you yet uninitiated, here is a very brief explainer:
- Gold Coins (GC):
Can be used to play Pump and other casino-style games for fun with no redemption.
- Stake Cash (SC):
If you win when playing with these, meet the 3x playthrough requirement, and reach the 40 SC minimum balance threshold, you can redeem your SCs for real prizes.
Stake.us Pump - The key stats
Before I take you through the special features, here’s a quick look at the key stats of this game:
Pump special features
As I said before, Pump has very basic gameplay, but with added special features to adapt the game to your ability and preferences. I found this makes it an easy game for beginners, but it has enough to keep you entertained as you gain more experience.
Here are three features of this game that stood out for me:
🎮 Changeable Difficulty Level
Before each round, you can change the difficulty level to Easy, Medium, Hard, or Experts. This alters the RTP, game volatility, and maximum multiplier. “Easy” has the lowest maximum win, but the least variance and risk, meaning smaller wins but more frequent prizes on average. As you move up to “Expert”, the opposite becomes true (higher maximum wins but less frequent payouts).
As with other Stake Originals, you can preset the game to play a fixed number of rounds with a fixed number of pumps, and maximum win and loss limits.
Despite the basic graphics, this game does have some animation, as the balloon grows when you pump it, flies off when you cash out, and explodes when it pops. However, if you’re not into it, you can click the toggle to switch off all animation and enjoy a more minimalist gaming experience.

Pros and cons of Stake.us Pump
Now that I’ve told you all about this game and how it works, here’s my honest summary of what’s good and bad about it:
- Easy to understand and play
- Autoplay mode available
- Changeable difficulty level
Pump vs Crash: The Battle of the Stake Originals
If you asked me to compare Pump to another Stake Originals game, it would have to be Crash. In both games, the multipliers grow, but you will lose if you wait too long to cash out.
The advantage of Pump’s game state over crash
There is a key difference between Pump and Crash, and it’s an important one. Crash is a real-time game, meaning that all players playing at any given time play the same round. Therefore, if you don’t get your play set in time you will miss the round.
That isn’t the case with Pump, as the next round won’t start until you hit that “Play” button.
To summarize, you wait for Crash, but Pump waits for you!
