Though the Onyx Predictions product hasn’t launched yet, this Onyx Predictions review looked at what to expect when it does. Trades will be Yes/No contracts based on how you predict a real-world event will happen.
Like any other prediction market site, I expect several markets for real-life events such as sports, politics, economics, culture, climate, cryptocurrency, and more. As for bonuses, even if a welcome bonus may not be available, as on most similar sites, referral rewards would not be far-fetched. Customer support should be available 24/7, with fast payment methods for trading transactions.
Since prediction trading at Onyx Predictions has not been launched yet, I don’t know exactly how it’ll work or what offerings to expect, but I’m optimistic that it’ll operate in the same way as other prediction market sites. Trades will be placed as a ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ or categorical contract, depending on the real-world event you want to predict.
I can’t give a particular settlement figure for each Onyx Predictions contract, but if I’m to follow the pattern of similar prediction market sites, a correct contract should settle at $1, while wrong ones get you nothing.
For example, suppose I buy 100 contracts listed at $0.55 each. The events eventually happen, and my predictions are correct. My payout will be $100, which means my gain is $45.
However, bid-ask spread and live order liquidity are what make the contract prices you see on prediction market sites fluctuate. This only means the market signal determines the prices, so it’s not a guaranteed probability. Like Onyx Predictions, Meta Arena is another upcoming prediction site, so the offerings you’ll find in a Meta Arena review is potentially very similar to Onyx Predictions.
At the moment, I can’t confirm whether Onyx Predictions will offer a welcome bonus for prediction trading, since some similar sites I’ve reviewed do offer such promotions and some don’t. However, even if one is available, it might be a deposit bonus, meaning you may need to deposit a qualifying amount on the site and receive a bonus to use for prediction trades in available markets.
There are several reliable online prediction market site reviews you can check to see what to expect from the Onyx Predictions product when it goes live, such as the Plus500 review. I usually claim referral bonuses on similar sites, so I’d hope Onyx Predictions offers one as well. This promotion entails inviting friends to join the prediction site, and you can get a reward for it.
You may not even need an Onyx Predictions bonus code to claim the offer, just like on many similar sites. A referral link is likely what you get to share with friends you want to bring on board, and they sign up through it. I’m also hopeful that Onyx Predictions offers social media giveaways where you’ll be asked to perform simple tasks and get selected as one of the top traders to receive a trading bonus.
As you’ll also find in a Gemini Predictions review, sports and politics are some of the most common markets on prediction market sites. You’re likely to find them on Onyx Predictions when it becomes available. However, I’m not saying those will be the only markets on the site. Besides sports and politics, markets such as culture, crypto, economics, and climate may be available.
The sports market will likely include sports contracts on league events, championships, and tournament outcomes. I’m really into entertainment gist, so the culture market would definitely interest me most on the prediction market site, if available.
I’ll also want to predict award outcomes like the Grammys, Golden Globes, and Oscars if Onyx Predictions offers contracts on culture markets. Plus, event contracts on movie performance and artists’ or music streaming numbers will attract more prediction traders.
If I go further into the available markets section and there are contracts on multiple cryptocurrencies, including BTC, DOGE, SOL, and ETH, I won’t want to leave the site ever, but I hope it doesn’t get to that.
Though the sign-up button for Onyx Predictions traders isn’t available yet, the existing site for one of its products gives an idea of what the prediction market website may look like when you’re placing trades.
I had a lively feel right after opening the Onyx Predictions website because the dark purple background, complemented by white and light purple, is satisfying, plus the pop-up text is easy for all to read. From my experience with similar prediction market brands, the site may display available markets at the top of the homepage or provide a drop-down menu, allowing traders to easily see what’s available to trade.
Multiple contracts tied to real-life events may become available on your screen the moment you click any of these markets, and you can then choose one or as many as you want and place your trade.
I’m also hoping to see a search bar that lets you find your favorite market without having to browse the entire site, which would definitely take time. As for website usability, Onyx Predictions' current site loads pages quickly on both desktop and mobile, so I wouldn't expect my trades to take long after depositing funds into my account.
Even though it hasn’t shared plans for a native Onyx Predictions app for any of its products, who knows, the brand may one day introduce one to spice up the fun for traders. That said, its absence won’t necessarily diminish the fact that traders would still enjoy prediction trades on the go.
Generally speaking, the website will still work perfectly well because Onyx Predictions focuses on a seamless, uncluttered website interface.
To claim some bonuses or even start trading on Onyx Predictions, you may need to fund your account first. Doing this right after registering with the prediction market site should be the goal because it keeps everything simple, so you can start placing trades in your preferred market right away.
I’d prefer cards and e-wallets for deposits and withdrawals. Bank transfers and wire transfers may also be available for payments, just as I discovered during my ADI Predict street review. For faster transactions, I wouldn’t mind having cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Tether on the site.
Note that processing times may vary depending on the available payment method, your location when placing trades, and any verification checks Onyx Predictions may require you to complete.
Even though I’d expected 24/7 customer support, at the time of writing this review, Onyx Predictions only offers email support, which, to be honest, isn’t very encouraging. I’d also expect to see options like live chat and an FAQ section because they offer multiple ways to reach out to the site with quick questions about payments, technical issues, and even how the site works.
No doubt, the email support was super helpful and reliable when I used it, but it’s nothing like a live chat that responds within a minute or two. On average, it takes hours to get a response by email. The Contact Us button at the bottom of the site’s homepage is a quick link to access email support.
I also saw quick links to its social media pages, including Instagram, Facebook, and X. Clicking any of these links helped me send a direct message to the site. Interestingly, I first saw a hint about Onyx Predictions’ new product, prediction trading, on its Instagram page.
After reading the short review at the bottom of the site’s homepage, I can confirm that Onyx Predictions is a legitimate site that should work for prediction trading. The site reveals that its trading services will be offered through Onyx Predictions LLC, which complies with applicable Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) regulations. Plus, Onyx Predictions is a National Futures Association (NFA) Member that is a registered Futures Commission Merchant (FCM).
With CFTC oversight of its prediction trades service, I’m confident that Onyx Predictions is a legitimate site where I’d like to place event contracts once it becomes available. Also, Onyx Predictions will only be accessible to traders aged 18 or older in eligible US states.
At the end of my review, I conclude as follows: Onyx Predictions will be a trusted prediction market site for US traders once it launches. Based on my experience on many prediction market sites, a welcome bonus may or may not be available to new traders when the prediction trade product launches. Ongoing promotions that I think may make their way to Onyx Predictions are referral programs and social media giveaways.
Using your mobile devices and PC, you may access several markets tied to real-life events, including politics, sports, and culture, from the comfort of your home without even downloading an app. Onyx Predictions is under CFTC oversight, like many well-known prediction market sites, so your deposits and trades are in good hands.
If you want to enjoy the new product coming to Onyx Predictions, check this page regularly to stay informed about the latest Onyx Predictions trade launch updates.
No. Onyx Predictions is yet to launch the prediction market product for traders. However, when it does, I’ll make sure to update you on its new offerings.
Expect multiple markets when the Onyx Predictions trade becomes active. Available markets may include sports, economics, politics, culture, and cryptocurrency.
Based on my experience on other prediction sites, Onyx Predictions may not offer a welcome bonus. But you may find a referral program and social media giveaways on its Facebook, X, or Instagram pages.
Onyx Predictions already has an age limit of 18 for its existing products, so it’s likely to be the same for prediction trading.
