What if I told you there's a site where you can access top-rated prediction exchanges like Kalshi, CME Group, and ForecastEx to trade contracts on future events? That's how Interactive Brokers works. This Interactive Brokers review reveals all the details.
I'll start with the $10 no-deposit welcome bonus for newly registered prediction traders. There's also an incentive coupon with interest that increases daily but is paid out monthly. Interactive Brokers features many prediction markets, including environmental, economic, and government. I'll discuss the siteโs payment methods, customer support, legitimacy, website usability, mobile app availability, and security.
Prediction trading sites usually don't offer bonuses. Therefore, I've learned not to expect promos after signing up at these sites. Interestingly, Interactive Brokers offered me a no-deposit welcome bonus after creating my account.
Also, I found an incentive coupon with daily interest. Here's what to know about these offers:
Immediately after I signed up at Interactive Brokers (IBKR), the prediction trading brand offered me $10. I didn't fund my account to get this welcome bonus, and no Interactive Brokers promo code was required.
Interactive Brokers offered me the option to withdraw the bonus or use it to trade event contracts. This is different from what I found in my Sleeper Markets review. I didn't claim any sign-up bonus for prediction trading.
After receiving my Interactive Brokers welcome offer, I used it to trade event contracts for the US election on Kalshi.
Another promotion I found on the site is the incentive coupon. This promo is only available to traders who buy event contracts from ForecastEx. After I did, I received an incentive coupon offering a 3.14% APY.
I kept receiving interest every day, which was paid out monthly. Interestingly, your interest depends on the market's closing position.
Interactive Brokers is a unique trading site that offers access to three popular prediction market exchanges: CME Group, Kalshi, and ForecastEx. Interestingly, I don't need separate accounts to trade on any of these prediction sites.
This arrangement makes it easier for me to search and compare event contracts on the three prediction exchanges before choosing a more suitable option. You'll find many prediction markets on these popular exchanges, including Elections, Economic Indicators, Financials, Environmental, and Government. All you need to do is choose a Yes or No position on the contract.
During my review, I discovered that you can start your prediction trading journey with as little as $0.01. The maximum amount per share you can trade on an event contract at Interactive Brokers is $0.99. Note that contract prices depend on the perceived likelihood of that event happening.
If the โYesโ price is higher, it means traders believe the event is highly likely to occur. On the other hand, if the โNoโ price is higher, it's a clear indication that more traders believe the event will likely not happen.
For instance, I predicted the NY-10 General Election. Then, I took a Yes position on Brad Lander as it appears that's where the prediction market sentiment lies (90% probability). The Yes price for Brad Lander was $0.90, while the No price was $0.13.
Note that the Yes and No prices don't usually equal $1, as prices depend on liquidity and bid-ask spreads. When I checked the ForecastEx government prediction markets, I saw event contracts with implied probabilities and prices that didn't match.
That's because the contract prices show the order book's latest bid and ask quotes in real-time. On the other hand, the probability is displayed according to the most recent trade.
For each correct prediction, Interactive Brokers will pay out $1 per contract share. But if your prediction is wrong, you won't get any payout. You don't have to wait until the contract resolves. Based on experience, I can sell my contracts to cut my losses or lock in profits.
I found many prediction markets at Interactive Brokers after signing up. Here's my experience trading event contracts on these markets:
If you follow government-related news in the US, you can make Yes or No forecasts on elections at Interactive Brokers. You can predict governorship, senate, house, and general elections. If you're interested in Democrats, Reps, or open primaries, you'll find many relevant markets. This is similar to the options I saw during my Coinbase review. The first prediction I made for this market was who would emerge as the New York Governor Democratic Primary winner.
I also found Financial Markets at Interactive Brokers. A click on this category showed subcategories like corporate activity, cryptocurrency, stock market indices, foreign exchange, and corporate performance. I predicted the S&P 500 Futures price before trading Yes or No contracts on Bitcoin's lowest price.
Event contracts on government fiscal policies can be found under the government section. At the time I checked, I found markets on US corporate tax, social security retirement age, US top marginal income tax, and US debt ceiling. The first event contract I traded for this category includes whether the US corporate tax will be above 21.0% by December 2026.
The environmental market at IBKR features 84 markets as of this review. You can predict climate change, the weather, temperatures, and agricultural events at IBKR. For instance, I forecasted the global carbon dioxide emissions for 2026 and the monthly average temperature in the United States. Also, every day I visit the site, I usually predict the Washington DC daily temperature, as I did countless times during my Moomoo review.
Based on my observation, the Economic Indicator market is the biggest on Interactive Brokers. I counted 179 event contracts in this category. Economic activity, taxes, oil & energy, labor, interest rates, industry, housing, education, prices & inflation, and sentiment surveys are the current subcategories. You can forecast events like the US Fed decision, the number of Dissenting FOMC members, and even Harvard tuition.
When I clicked the deposit button after signing up, I discovered that you can deposit through direct ACH transfer from your banking account. Other payment methods accepted include bank wire transfers, check, stablecoin, and Online Bill Pay. You can also link your bank account for fast deposits.
I used direct ACH transfer to fund my account, and Interactive Brokers didn't directly charge me any transaction fee. Depending on your chosen payment provider, a small fee may be collected.
The deposit processing period depends on your chosen payment system. For instance, direct ACH transfer and Wire transfer often take only one business day. On the other hand, linking your bank account for deposits may take up to four business days, while Online Bill Pay processing takes between one and six days.
ACH transfers, bank wire transfers, direct debit, transfer to a Wise balance, and checks are also available for withdrawals. Note that withdrawing all your balance at Interactive Brokers will leave your account inactive. So, I recommend leaving a small amount during withdrawals.
As expected, processing time differs. Bank wire, ACH transfers, and transfers to a Wise balance take less than 24 hours. If you prefer to withdraw via direct debit, you can get your funds within 1-2 business days.
For traders who like payouts via check, it may take 7-10 business days.
This is where you'll get all the details of how the site works at just a glance. I visited the site from the on-page banners and found a minimalist interface with the three prediction exchanges (Kalshi, ForecastEx, and CME Group) clearly listed on the homepage.
You'll find the $10 no-deposit welcome bonus on the homepage. Information on the meaning of prediction markets and how the site works is on the homepage. When you scroll down, you'll see many frequently asked questions and answers about the prediction siteโs markets.
The website features available markets, including Economic Indicators, Government, Environmental, Financial Markets, and Elections. Each event contract carries the prediction exchange logo. You can change the website theme from dark mode to light mode.
Trading predictions on the go is easy with your iOS or Android device, as the IBKR website is mobile-optimized. Unlike what I found during my DraftKings Predict review, where prediction trading is restricted to the mobile apps, you can trade Yes/No event contracts on the IBKR website.
Interactive Brokers offers two dedicated mobile apps for prediction trading. You can download IBKR Mobile and IBKR GlobalTrader apps from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. IBKR's app sports the same interface as the website and is just as responsive.
If you're interested in reaching out to the Interactive Brokers' customer support team, I found three channels (phone, email, and live chat).
During my Interactive Brokers review, I was surprised to see that this customer support channel is only available during specific hours from Sunday to Friday. Despite the limited availability, live chat responses are fast and detailed.
Phone support also shares the same limited availability as live chat. If you prefer to send an email, replies may take up to 24 hours. There's a help center with answers to relevant questions on account protection, prediction markets, deposits, and withdrawals.
The first thing I confirmed after visiting the Interactive Brokers US website is that it's regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Most importantly, the three featured prediction exchanges are also CFTC-regulated.
Before you can register at IBKR, you need to be at least 21. Interactive Brokers uses SSL encryption to protect traders' accounts from third-party access. You need complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification to enjoy all the siteโs offerings. If you're using the app, I also recommend setting up two-factor authentication for improved security.
One reason Interactive Brokers has quickly become my go-to site for prediction trading is that I can browse event contracts from the three featured exchanges before taking a Yes or No position.
What's better? New Interactive Brokers traders receive a $10 no-deposit welcome bonus to start trading. I also received an incentive coupon offering 3.14% APY, with the daily-accruing interest paid out monthly.
The IBKR website is mobile-optimized, and there's also an Interactive Brokers app for iOS and Android devices for on-the-go trading. You can deposit and withdraw using many secure payment methods like checks, Online Bill Pay, ACH transfers, and stablecoins.
Interactive Brokers is CFTC-regulated, and you can reach the site through live chat, phone, and email. Click the banners on this page to register at IBKR, claim the welcome bonus, and start trading.
Interactive Brokers features three top-rated prediction exchanges (CME Group, ForecastEx, and Kalshi). You can choose event contracts from any of these brands for your prediction trading.
Yes. I claimed a $10 no-deposit welcome offer after signing up at Interactive Brokers. No promo code is needed to get this offer.
I found many markets at IBKR, including Government, Elections, Economic Indicators, Environmental, and Financial Markets.
