With the Broadway 2026-27 season already underway, Kalshi traders are putting a number on how large the audience could be. They currently point to attendance of around 14 million to 14.5 million entries across the entire season, with traders giving the “above 14.25 million” outcome a 55% chance. The chance of exceeding 14.5 million currently sits at 40%.
Market prices are influenced by new productions opening, reviews being published, and shifts in demand. The outcome will be verified using total-attendance data published by The Broadway League, with each admission counted separately.
Kalshi launched its Broadway attendance market on August 19, 2026, several months after the current Broadway season kicked off. Kalshi, one of the leading prediction market sites, gives its traders an easy way to assess how many people could end up enjoying Broadway performances during the 2026-27 season.
The official schedule confirms several new musicals, revivals, and new plays, such as Here There Are Blueberries, Inter Alia, Mix and Master, Montaul, and Paranormal Activity. Among the upcoming revivals, the spotlight is mainly on The Sound of Music, Damn Yankees, and The Full Monty.
As of the latest prices, Kalshi traders see a strong chance that Broadway attendance will exceed 14 million. More specifically, the “above 14 million” outcome is priced at 61%, while the probability of attendance topping 14.25 million stands at 55%. At higher levels, expectations are lower.
The chance of Broadway attendance exceeding 14.5 million currently stands at 40%, falling to 32% for attendance above 14.6 million. Kalshi traders give the “above 14.7 million” bracket a 23% chance, and give attendance above 14.8 million a 12% chance. The recent numbers indicate that the market has generated over $229,000 in trading volume, demonstrating significant interest in Broadway’s outlook well before the season’s final attendance numbers are known.
The market will close once the official attendance numbers are published by The Broadway League, or by July 22, 2027. Like other reputable culture prediction sites, Kalshi offers traders many other ways to gauge public expectations about major cultural events.
The selection of culture prediction markets at Kalshi goes well beyond Broadway, covering entertainment stories that attract attention from television, music, and film fans.
