HYPE is the native cryptocurrency of the Hyperliquid exchange which has in itself shaken up the DeFi scene by offering a completely different trading system with greater liquidity and faster transaction speeds.
Because of this, we’ve noticed the Hyperliquid 15 minute market has become extremely popular at legit prediction exchanges. As you will see below, this is a type of prediction you can trade with other customers, based on the fluctuating price of the HYPE cryptocurrency within blocks of 15 minutes throughout the day.
HYPE is the cryptocurrency, but people often refer to it as Hyperliquid too, so we will use the terms interchangeably. Because of its popularity, it is featured widely at P2P prediction trading exchanges, where people buy and sell trade contracts relating to predictions about the shifting price of the HYPE token. One of the most popular types of HYPE predictions is the 15 minute feature.
As the name suggests, the HYPE 15 minute market is a prediction based on the market price of HYPE at the end of a specific 15 minute time period. To give an example:
“HYPE 15 min - 21st May, 11:15-11:30 BST - price to beat $58.0697”
In this example the prediction is based on the price of HYPE between 11:15 to 11:30 am, and you can purchase trade contracts for the up or down options, based on whether you think the price will be above or below the target of $58.0697 at the 11:30am mark. Pretty simple! From the live example we took from Kalshi, you could buy the up option for 11c, and the down option for 99c, based against the standard $1 trade contract base value.
With these predictions, you can buy and sell the up/down trade contracts from other users, and you have the potential to make a return by selling your trade contracts for more than you bought them for. Alternatively, you can settle them, and if they settle in-the-money, it means you got the HYPE 15 minute price prediction right, and you’ll get a $1 return for each held contract.
The Hyperliquid 15 minute markets are great if you want to try and make short term consistent returns. They can give you a potential boost and you can use them to offset your more long term trade investments. However, they require much more attention and focus, and it can be extremely difficult to accurately try and predict the shifting HYPE price patterns.
Currently, Kalshi and Polymarket are the two operators that feature the best HYPE prediction markets, and both of them offer the 15-minute price prediction. We’ve given a summary table of the types of HYPE predictions they offer below:
| Exchange | 5 Minute | 15 Minute | Hourly | 4 Hourly | Monthly | Annually |
| Kalshi | No | Yes | Yes | No | Yes | Yes |
| Polymarket | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Kalshi is the largest prediction market exchange, and this could be your top pick if you want trading stability, great liquidity, and plenty of volume. In terms of HYPE predictions, it has the 15 minute version that runs throughout the day, but it also has hourly, monthly, and annual options too for those who want to make more long term trade choices. We’ve always been impressed with the usability of the site, the quality of the mobile apps, and the flexible fee structure which can be incredibly low for specific prediction market categories. After crypto markets, Kalshi has a robust selection of categories that include elections, politics, financials, and mentions.
Polymarket also features on our list of best prediction market apps, and this operator is actually slightly better for short term HYPE predictions. Not only can you trade 15 minute price predictions, but it is currently the only exchange to feature a 5 minute HYPE prediction market too. Both of these features run 24/7 and we have always been able to get our trade contract orders matched. Polymarket also offers predictions for other top cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana, plus popular non-crypto categories like elections, politics, sports, culture, and economics. In terms of market share and trade volume, this operator comes second only to Kalshi.
Hyperliquid and the HYPE cryptocurrency remain on a positive trajectory and have really shaken up the world of crypto exchanges. As a result, we think that things like the Hyperliquid 15 minute markets at prediction exchanges like Polymarket and Kalshi will remain popular and have plenty of trade volume. You don’t win money, but you can potentially make a return by selling your HYPE prediction trade contracts for more than you bought them for, or by settling your contract in-the-money.
Yes, provided that you trade them at Kalshi or Polymarket. These are the two main prediction exchanges we’ve tested that are CFTC-regulated, and that have legit 15 minute HYPE prediction markets.
If we had to pick one, it would be Kalshi. It has a 15 minute HYPE market and it currently offers the best liquidity and trade volume you can find for crypto predictions, which means you should be able to buy/sell without any issues.
Prediction markets involve financial risk, and outcomes are never guaranteed. In light of this, trading should always be controlled and enjoyable. Keep your activity in check by following responsible trading practices such as:
Only trade money you can afford to lose and stop when your budget is reached.
Avoid increasing trade size or frequency to recover losses.
Don't trade when stressed, tired, emotional, or under the influence.
Take breaks and avoid letting trading interfere with daily life.
Learn how contracts, pricing, fees, and settlement work before trading.
Use spending limits, account history, or self-exclusion tools where available.
