NFL betting guide for Week 6 picks and props.
Your ultimate guide to betting on NFL Week 6.

We're more than a quarter of the way through the NFL season and Week 6 arrives with no shortage of NFL betting action, major storylines and roster shakeups, which means we're back with another look at the most notable angles from the weekly slate.

Between prediction markets opening a new way of sports trading and sportsbooks ramping up the promos, NFL betting is at an all-time high this season and we are here to make sure you don't miss a beat as we head into Week 6.

That's where Dimers Pro comes in, fresh off another productive week across the Dimers Pro suite of NFL prediction tools.

All season long, whether you're betting game lines with our best NFL bets, hunting a touchdown edge in our NFL player props, digging into our NFL player projections hub, or tracking Super Bowl futures, the Dimers model does the heavy lifting so you can bet based on data, not guesswork.

Find the narrative, check the data and let the numbers inside our NFL predictions do the rest while you sit back and take in every game this season.

Below, we break down the week's biggest storylines, our model's top spread and moneyline picks, and the players, markets and scenarios most worth your attention.

Three storylines to watch in Week 6

1. Caleb Williams inches closer to return

Bears QB Caleb Williams has missed three games with a Grade 2 hamstring strain, but reports point to him returning against Atlanta.

The Dimers model already projects him for 230.1 passing yards and 28.6 rushing yards, with Chicago a 61% favorite. His return lifts the whole passing game, though with conservative numbers against a Falcons defense that has let teams put up some big passing numbers.

Luther Burden leads the receivers at 51.5 projected yards, while Colston Loveland has the best touchdown chance among Chicago’s pass-catchers at 28.9%.

D’Andre Swift (62.4 rush yards, 59.9% to score) remains the strongest touchdown bet on the roster, especially with the injury issues for fellow RB Kyle Monangai.

2. The NFL's worst rushing attack meets the worst rushing defense

Green Bay has rushed for just 302 yards and two touchdowns, and didn’t score its first rushing touchdown until Week 5.

Sunday night’s opponent is the ideal fix: Dallas has given up 842 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns, the most yardage in the league. Notable performances vs. the Cowboys this year include 89 yards and 2 TD to Derrick Henry, and 165 yards and 2 TD to Bucky Irving.

cowboys-packers predictions

MarShawn Lloyd leads the Packers backfield in the model’s projections with 43.2 rushing yards and a 41.6% chance to score. Kaleb Johnson (22.8 yards) and Pierre Strong (14.8) have been in the mix, but look like the clear secondary options after Lloyd's best game.

3. Chiefs search for answer at wide receiver

Rashee Rice (hamstring) and Tyquan Thornton (dislocated ankle, reportedly out 12-16 weeks) were both hurt in Kansas City’s win at Las Vegas.

That leaves Xavier Worthy as the default WR1 if Rice can't go coming out of the bye week.

Worthy has never lived up to the hype, and with Rice currently factored into our projections, Worthy is at 3.6 catches and 46.1 yards.

Travis Kelce leads all Chiefs pass-catchers in all categories this season and projects for 43.2 yards with a 29.5% touchdown chance.

Rice's status is up in the air, so check back in our NFL player projections hub before Sunday for the latest outlook.

Top picks against the spread in Week 6

These are the teams with the highest probability to cover the spread in their respective game this week.

They may not hold value, which is why you'll want to cross-reference with our NFL best bets - any spread picks with a betting edge will be identified there.

However, if you're looking to build NFL parlays with spreads, or make your choices in an NFL Pick 'ems league, these five teams are a good place to start.

At the early lines, our model isn't discounting the teams starting backups quite as much as the books, but keep an eye on these throughout the week for any line movement and updated predictions.

  • Jaguars -2.5 vs. Texans (59%)
  • Patriots -7.5 vs. Jets (57%)
  • Colts -6.5 vs. Titans (56%)
  • Steelers -2.5 @ Bucs (55%)
  • Seahawks -2.5 @ Broncos (55%)

Top 5 season to date: 11-14

Overall, Dimers spreads went 9-6 in Week 5 based on closing lines, once again highlighting why the best value often lies on the most overlooked games of the slate.

Who will win in NFL Week 6?

Here you'll find the five most likely outright winners this week. No spreads, no covering, and little betting value, just the five highest probabilities identified in our NFL predictions.

These are good teams to look at for weekly Survivor picks throughout the season, provided you haven't used one of them previously.

  • Rams 85.1% vs. Cardinals
  • Chiefs 79% vs. Chargers
  • 49ers 76% vs. Commanders
  • Patriots 74% vs. Jets
  • Colts 74% vs. Titans

Editor's Survivor pick: The "fade the Dolphins" strategy keeps hitting, but it'll have to take a week off as they're on bye. The Rams as our top ML probability of the week in a "must-win" spot vs. a 1-4 Cardinals team looks like the play instead.

Dimers' Sweet Spots to look for in Week 6

The "Sweet Spot" is a Dimers Pro feature that identifies the specific betting markets and edge ranges where our model is returning a positive profit over the course of the season.

These signals are the first to look for when researching a weekly NFL slate, as it shows where our model has proven to be most accurate.

Week 6 brings some brand-new Sweet Spots! Most notably, Spread picks are returning a positive ROI through 5 weeks after collecting a sample size of 25+ bets from our new NFL model launched this season.

Early returns are strong, with a 15.3% ROI at bets between a 0% and 5% edge, and as of publishing, we have six spread picks in the Sweet Spot for Week 6.

Players to watch in Week 6

These are players who need to be on your radar, whether in fantasy leagues or for player prop betting.

Last week, we looked at Marvin Harrison Jr, who was traded before Sunday, Woody Marks (cashed his rushing ladder) and Ollie Gordon (scored again).

1. Christian Watson (Packers)

The breakout year continues for Christian Watson who has six touchdowns in five weeks, including scores of 53 and 43 yards in Green Bay’s 31-7 win over Chicago.

He’s up to 474 receiving yards, closing in on his career highs of 620 yards and seven touchdowns with a dream matchup.

touchdown props

Dallas has allowed 10 passing touchdowns (tied for fourth-most) and three multi-touchdown games to the opponent’s top pass-catcher this season. When a player knows how to beat the Cowboys' secondary, he tends to do it multiple times.

Our model gives Watson a 58.5% chance to score at +130 (15.0% edge) and a 14.3% chance to score first at +1100 (5.9% edge).

2. George Kittle (49ers)

Washington’s pass defense ranks 29th and has allowed a league-high 14 passing touchdowns, seven of them to tight ends.

George Kittle’s four touchdowns are tied for the most among tight ends this season and our model projects him for 62.9 yards, the most of any tight end, and the third-highest touchdown probability at the position at 43.7%.

Deebo Samuel’s hamstring injury could also funnel more targets his way in a primetime Monday night showdown in which we project the 49ers with a 76% chance to win.

3. Emanuel Wilson (Seahawks)

Denver has allowed the third-most rushing yards in the league (726 through five games), and its five rushing touchdowns allowed rank right in the middle of the league.

Seahawks backup Emanuel Wilson has three touchdowns in the last two games while filling in for rookie Jadarian Price (IR), seeing 20+ carries and at least two catches in each to third-stringer George Holani's 11 total carries.

rb projections

Zach Charbonnet looks like he still won’t be activated for Thursday’s game, leaving Wilson as the clear RB1. He projects for 70 rushing yards and a 49% chance to score, a big edge at +125.
