Combining our hitter and pitcher projections with our MLB player prop tool and even our early-season MLB trends is an ideal way to narrow down a full game's worth of bets and props to just a handful of players.
We've used all three of those tools to find the legs for our Padres-Diamondbacks parlay.
1. German Marquez 3+ strikeouts (-122)
We've got one prop with an edge in this game, and it's on Padres starter German Marquez to record at least 3 strikeouts.
Marquez gets a 69.9% probability to clear this line, projected for 3.5 strikeouts and at odds of -122 on DraftKings, a big edge as our fair odds would be north of -200.
Marquez isn't known as a swing-and-miss pitcher, but through his first 4 starts, his whiff and K rates are the highest they've been since 2021.
He's recorded 4+ Ks in his last three starts and the Diamondbacks lineup drops from the third-fewest strikeouts in MLB to 10th when adjusted for righthanded pitching.
2. Miguel Andujar 2+ hits (+129)
Sticking with the Padres, we move to the hitters and their best hitter so far, Miguel Andujar.
Andujar is hitting .316 on the season and .333 vs. RHP, picking up a pair of hits in 6 games this year and in 4 of his last 6 games.
He's only faced Zac Gallen in 2 AB in his career so there's no history to lean on, but Gallen has a 1.63 WHIP vs. righties and an xBA in in the bottom 8th percentile of qualified MLB pitchers.
Andujar is our most likely player in this game to record multiple hits at 41.3%.
3. Ketel Marte 2+ hits (+107)
For our final leg, we'll move to the D-Backs lineup and their No. 2 batter, Ketel Marte.
Marte is starting to pick up the pace at the plate after a bit of a slow start, tallying a pair of hits in 4 of his last 8 games, and he gets a familiar face on the mound tonight with Marquez.
In 44 AB vs. Marquez, Marte has 14 hits, 9 RBI and a pair of home runs, hitting .318 with a .933 OPS, and his 39.1% probability to pick up 2+ hits is the highest in this game
