The 2026 NFL season goes global in Week 1: the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams meet in a
divisional showdown
at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday, September 10 — the first regular-season NFL game ever staged in Australia. Kickoff is still weeks away, but the early markets are already posted, and the
First TD Scorer
market is where the biggest Week 1 payouts live.
With the Rams listed as the designated home side at a neutral venue on the other side of the world, the touchdown market is the place to look for value. Veteran wideout Davante Adams remains one of the league's most reliable red-zone targets — and
has priced an intriguing First TD Scorer prop around him.
Featured Prop: Davante Adams First TD Scorer (+700)
on Davante Adams to score the first touchdown of the game against the 49ers.
- Red-zone pedigree:
Adams profiles as the Rams' most trusted target inside the 20, and the market reflects it — Bet365 prices his Anytime TD at +125 (roughly a 44.4% implied chance), the shortest anytime number of any wide receiver on the board.
- Predictive Value:
At +700, the First TD market implies roughly a 12.5% chance Adams opens the scoring. For a route technician who wins one-on-one at the goal line, that longshot number carries genuine sleeper value — especially set against his much shorter +125 anytime price, which signals the market fully expects him in the end zone at some point.
- Early-Game Scripting:
Expect Los Angeles to lean on its most experienced pass-catcher from the opening drive in an unfamiliar environment. With San Francisco's coverage attention split across the Rams' skill group, Adams is a prime candidate to win a matchup in the red zone early.

Expert Prediction: 49ers Vs. Rams
Utilizing state-of-the-art data analysis and advanced algorithms, the experts at
Dimers
have performed 10,000 simulations of the 49ers vs. Rams matchup.
According to Dimers' predictive analytics model, the
Rams are more likely to win
at the MCG. This prediction is based on the model giving the Rams a
59% chance
of winning the game, with a projected final score of
Rams 27, 49ers 24.
Notably, the model is far more bullish on San Francisco against the number: Dimers gives the
49ers (+3.5) a 62% chance of covering the spread. With the projected margin sitting at just three points, that pushes the value squarely to the underdog. The model's projected 51-point combined total also edges over Bet365's posted total of 48.5.
These predictions and probabilities are accurate at the time of publication but are subject to potential changes.
49ers Vs. Rams Best Bet
Our top pick for the 49ers vs. Rams game is to bet on the
49ers +3.5 (-110)
at Bet365.
Dimers' model gives San Francisco better than a 60% chance to cover, and with a projected three-point final margin, the 49ers getting a field goal and a hook is live value in a game the market has tightened toward a near coin flip against the spread. This expert betting advice is based on world-class modeling and valuable betting intelligence, designed to help you make more informed decisions.
Final Thoughts: 49ers Vs. Rams
Week 1 delivers a piece of history: an NFC West rivalry game played 8,000 miles from home, with the Rams nominally hosting the 49ers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Los Angeles opens as a narrow favorite, and Dimers leans to the Rams on the moneyline — but the same model, and a projected three-point margin, argues the points are with San Francisco.
The headline angle is Davante Adams in the touchdown market. At +700 to strike first, he's a high-variance sleeper with real early-script upside — and if you'd rather back him without needing the opening score, Bet365's
+125
anytime price is the safer route to the same read on the Rams' red-zone hierarchy.
