We're traveling north of the border for the action on the links this weekend with the RBC Canadian Open at Hamilton Golf & Country Club in Ontario. Lots of big-name golfers have taken this one off with Rory McIlroy the lone representative from the OWGR top 10.

Our predictive analytics model has run 1000s of simulations for the RBC Canadian Open, identifying value bets in the winner and placement markets. As mentioned, we're heading to Ontario with a $9.4 million purse up for grabs.

2024 RBC Canadian Open Best Bets

Tommy Fleetwood to Win (+1600 on BetMGM)

Every edge you'll see in this week's tournament is slim enough that it won't get the official DimersBOT "flame" ranking for value, but based purely on our projection vs. the books, they hold an edge.

The first of these is Tommy Fleetwood, Dimers' 11th-ranked golfer in the world and the second-highest from our in-house rankings to play this weekend. He's projected with the second-highest probability to win at 6.7%, calculating to fair odds of +1400, while you can get him at +1600 on BetMGM.

Fleetwood's been very solid this year, missing just one cut and with two finishes outside the Top 40. He's got a T13, T10, T7 and T3, with his best finish of the year coming in The Masters.

Sahith Theegala to Win (+2000 on BetMGM)

We're getting value on our next most-likely winner, with Sahith Theegala drawing a 5.6% probability against his +2000 odds at BetMGM. That calculates to a fair price of +1700, showing a discrepancy of +300 for a little edge.

A bit of a rollercoaster year for Theegala, with nearly as many fishes outside the Top 30 (four) as he does inside the Top 10 (five). A pair of second-place finishes, plus a 5, T6 and T9 show that he can contend with anyone on TOUR. At 5th overall in total strokes gained and the fourth-best putting stats, Theegala is in line for a big week.

Alex Noren to Win (+2500 on BetMGM)

The third guy in our top five with an edge is Swedish golfer Alex Noren to win in Ontario. Noren gets a 4.8% probability to pick up his first career victory this week, continuing the solid form he's displayed for most of the season, though he hasn't broken through his ceiling yet.

Noren hasn't missed a cut this year and has two finishes outside the Top 30 in a dozen events. He finished as high as third three weeks ago at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson and has six Top 20 finishes, which you can get at +115 and a 49.5% probability from our mode.

Akshay Bhatia to Win (+5000 on BetMGM)

Our final bet to win with an edge is the lone golfer outside our Top 5 most-likely winners, but he does sit in our Top 10 and gets the best value in relation to his odds as anyone on here. Akshay Bhatia is +5000 to win but our 2.8% probability implies odds of +3500. That's a $150 difference if you bet $10 on this one.

Bhatia has given us some joys and some headaches this year, and he's coming off one his worst outing of the season, a +5 missed cut at the Charles Schwab Challenge. When he's not cut, Bhatia is excellent - he's finished inside the Top 20 in seven of the nine cuts he's made, picking up a playoff victory at the Valero Texas Open. The young fifth-year pro is 12th overall in Strokes Gained so if he can minimize his woes around the green, we can see him in late contention this weekend.

For some additional value, consider a ladder play on Bhatia for his Top 20 (+210), Top 10 (+450) and Top 5 (+1000) as he gets an edge in each tier.

Mark Hubbard Top 5 Finish (+1600 on DraftKings)

We've got one play for you that's not a winner - Mark Hubbard to secure a Top 5 finish. You can find value in Hubbard's other markets, including his +9000 odds to win, but it's not worth more than a sprinkle.

Hubbard gets a 7.2% probability to finish in the top 5, which would make his fair odds here about +1250, a sizable difference from his +1600 odds at DraftKings.

For some fun, look at a little Top 5 or Top 10 round robin of 3-4 of these guys.

These aren't the only value plays on the board, but our selected ones based on our model's recommendations. With Dimers Pro, you can check out our full predictions for the RBC Canadian Open to find your favorite plays, with plenty more edges to be found!

Dimers' Expert Golf Picks and Predictions

As well as being your best source for PGA golf predictions, Dimers also has the latest golf news, golf predictions for every game, weekly golf rankings, and golf matchup H2H tool.

Can I bet on golf with Dimers?

No. There’s no golf bet slip on our site because we don’t take any golf bets ourselves. We’re the friend who gives you the best golf picks and predictions then tells you where and how to get the best golf sign up offers at the sportsbooks, so you can throw your golf bets down. That’s it!

When you click on one of our buttons or links in our golf content, you’re whisked away to DraftKings, BetMGM, FanDuel, or one of the many other sportsbooks we work with.

Once you get there, you can join up to score a welcome bonus (up to $200!), and then get those golf bets down for yourself, but you’re betting on the golf with them, not us. Since you are never betting anything directly with us, we don’t have access to your personal information or sensitive financial info like credit card numbers.

It also means that despite our best efforts to confirm that a sports betting site still has that awesome golf sign up offer available, the best ones often disappear just as quickly as they appeared. We always take these offers down once we know they’re no longer available. We take our responsibility to provide up to date golf information very seriously.

Finally, Responsible Gambling is extremely important to us, so please remember that golf betting should be seen as a form of entertainment - adding to your enjoyment while watching from the course of the couch - not a side hustle or second income stream.

If Dimers doesn't take golf bets, then how do you make money?

Whenever you join a sportsbook mentioned in our golf picks and predictions across the website, or use one of our promo codes, we get a small commission for referring you. Don’t worry, though, this doesn’t affect you in any way at all. That’s a fee the sportsbook pays us as a thank-you for sending another golf bettor their way.

We’re always happy to help our readers troubleshoot any problems. Start with our About Us or Contact Us and if that doesn’t work for you, then you can always send us an email at contact@dimers.com. We’ll do our best to help you figure it out.
