The PGA TOUR heads to Greensboro, NC for the Wyndham Championship and we look for the best betting value from the Dimers model.

Golf best bets, predictions and picks for the 2026 Wyndham Championship
Hideki Matsuyama has back-to-back Top 5 finishes on the PGA TOUR.

The Wyndham Championship marks the final PGA TOUR event of the regular season, teeing off from Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, NC. Like all events, we're back with Dimers' golf predictions to find the best golfers worth betting on to win or place at this week's tournament.

Thanks to our weekly golf predictions, we've identified Cameron Young to win THE PLAYERS, Matt Fitzpatrick to win the Valspar Championship, and cashing our reduced odds H2H parlay at the Masters as some of this year's standout victories.

2026 Wyndham Championship preview

  • Date: August 6-August 9, 2026
  • Location: Greensboro, NC
  • Course: Sedgefield Country Club
  • Par: 70 / 7,131 yards

Every player ranked 61st through 125th in the current standings is in the field at the Wyndham Championship, all competing for one of the top 70 spots that advance to the FedExCup Playoffs, beginning with the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

The highest-ranked players in the field are Cameron Young (No. 3 in the World Ranking), Aaron Rai (No. 19) and Ben Griffin (No. 20).

Sedgefield Country Club has hosted the Wyndham Championship every year since 2008, playing to a par of 70 at 7,131 yards, with two par 5s, four par 3s and 12 par 4s. Greens, fairways and rough are all Bermudagrass and the layout includes 52 bunkers, water on six holes, and pine straw and trees bordering much of the property.

Despite those hazards, scoring has trended low: nine of the last 10 winning totals have finished between 18-under and 22-under, mainly due to a high hit rate on the greens. The 507-yard par-4 18th plays as the most difficult hole and has produced dramatic finishes, including a six-man playoff in 2021.

Both par 5s are reachable, and two of the par 3s play under 175 yards, contributing to the course's reputation for producing birdies. Accurate drivers, coupled with good approach play will find themselves in an advantageous position this weekend.

Who will win the 2026 Wyndham Championship?

Our win predictions are the result of simulating the tournament over 10,000 times via our AI models, as well as each golfer's odds to finish Top 5, 10 and 20:

We'll also highlight any standout prop and placement bets for other golfers if we find any appealing value hidden in the Dimers golf predictions.

2026 Wyndham Championship best bets

Though defending champ Cameron Young is priced as a short favorite, without a high-probability favorite like Scottie Scheffler in the mix, many golfers have similar win probabilities, with their mispriced odds standing out among the others in their tier.

We'll highlight a handful of these golfers below, but encourage all users to check out the full Wyndham Championship predictions for every possible edge.

Dimers' best bet: Ryan Gerard to win (+3000 on BetMGM)

Win probability: 4.6%

Dimers' fair odds: +2075 and above

The best value on the board relative to the odds.

The Dimers model gives Gerard a 4.6% win probability, viewing the market price as generous relative to their fair odds of +2075.

The North Carolina native carries momentum into his home state after a strong run that saw him tally four top 10 finishes over his past seven events, including a runner-up showing at the Memorial Tournament and a T8 last week.

He was in the mix at the Rocket Classic in Detroit before fading over the weekend, but the underlying form gaining strokes with the putter, off the tee, and around the green in recent starts points to a breakthrough being close.

He's missed the cut in two prior trips to Sedgefield, but as the second-highest-ranked player in the field in the FedExCup standings, he arrives with plenty riding on a big week at home.

Hideki Matsuyama to win (+2500 on bet365)

Win probability: 4.6%

Dimers' fair odds: +2070 and above

Same probability as our best bet, though at shorter odds. Still, Hideki Matsuyama gets an edge based on his fair price.

With a 4.6% win probability and fair odds of +2070 or longer, Matsuyama's combination of value and high probability makes him one of the more attractive bets on the board.

He enters on the back of consecutive top-10 finishes for the first time since February and both top-five results at the 3M Open and the Rocket Classic, bringing that momentum into his 10th career start at Sedgefield.

He's pretty much all or nothing at this course, missing six of his cuts, but bagging a  Top 20, headlined by a T3, in his four paydays.

His short game has been sharp lately, gaining strokes putting in six of his last seven starts, a trait that should translate well to Sedgefield's small Bermuda greens.

Maverick McNealy to win (+4000 on bet365)

Win probability: 3.1%

Dimers' fair odds: +3125 and above

We put Maverick McNealy's win probability at 3.1%, with fair odds of +3125 and above.

He's built a season of consistency, if not for a lack of upside, with seven top-20 finishes in 2026, two of those finishing at 10th.

His approach play remains a relative weakness, but he ranks top 25 in total strokes gained, sits above the field average off the tee, and profiles well on a course that rewards putting over ball-striking.

He also ranks 14th in birdie average and 25th on par 5s specifically, two scoring traits suited to Sedgefield's birdie-heavy layout

Dimers' longshots and sleepers

Golfers down here are deep cuts with very small win probabilities, yet they've often shown high upside in the season, and strong finishes in the final event could secure their FedExCup Top 70 ranking for the playoffs.

Most importantly, they always present a little value based on our fair odds. Top 10 and Top 5 plays make alternative bets for less risk than the outright winner while still betting on their upside.

Nick Taylor to win (+9000 on BetRivers)

Win probability: 1.4%

Dimers' fair odds: +7040 and above

You'll find many golfers in this range but not many with outright value.

At a 1.4% win probability for Taylor, with fair odds of +7040 and up, the Canadian is who grabs our attention.

The five-time PGA TOUR winner sits 61st in the FedExCup standings, putting him in position to tee it up for the first round of the FedExCup Playoffs.

A strong week at Sedgefield would go a long way toward locking up his positioning him for a run at the top 50 for the BMW Championship.

He has two Top 10 finishes in eight tries at the Wyndham Championship and should have value in every placement market from Top 20 through Top 5 at his best odds.
