It was an eventful opening slate of games for the NFL and we look set for more of the same in Week 2.
Last week our NFL predictive model went 4/5 for our top touchdown picks and it's been hard at work once again. Check out the Week 2 picks below.
Ezekiel Elliott 🏈
64.3% probability (ATL @ DAL)
Although it was a disappointing opening week for the Cowboys, Ezekiel Elliott performed brilliantly. He had over 100 combined yards, and got in for a touchdown along the ground.
Look for 'Zeke to back up his strong Week 1 performance with another big effort, this time against a Falcons' defense who isn't at the level of the Rams.
Derrick Henry 🏈
60.1% probability (JAX @ TEN)
Derrick Henry registered another 100+ yard rushing game in Week 1, however, failed to score a touchdown. Don't expect that trend to continue, with the star running back looking set to tear up the Jaguars.
According to our data, Henry is a 60.1 percent chance to get in for six and if the Titans get to the goal line you can guarantee they will be handing him the ball.
Alvin Kamara 🏈
58.9% probability (NO @ LV)
It was just business as usual for Alvin Kamara in Week 1, who ran for a touchdown as well as catching one in the series opener. The Saints should get in at least a few times against the Raiders, and it's tough to see Kamara not breaking the plane.
Aaron Jones 🏈
57.8% probability (DET @ GB)
It wasn't a massive Week 1 in regards to yardage for Aaron Jones, however, he still managed to get in for six thanks to the stunning Packers' offense. Our predictive model is expecting the running back to score a touchdown again this week, rating him as a 57.8 percent chance.
Christian McCaffrey 🏈
57.2% probability (CAR @ TB)
Rounding out our top five is the superstar, Christian McCaffrey. He recorded two touchdowns in Week 1 despite his team going down by four points. He is the clear top option on offense and should again be very difficult to stop.
