Bally Bet Ontario Review 2025: Is it Legit & Safe?

Updated: Sep 9, 2025, 6:53 AM ET

This week I’ve been looking at Bally Bet Ontario to see what this site offers for Canadian sports fans. My first impressions were good and I was impressed with the betting variety and site design.

But, if you read on, you can see my full Bally Bet review as I assess other important site features such as in-play betting, mobile apps, and customer support options. I think you’ll be impressed with what this operator offers, and it’s definitely one of the better Canadian sportsbooks I’ve tried in 2025.

Are the Bally Bet website and mobile app easy to use?

I wanted to get a Bally Bet sportsbook rating for usability as this is something I prioritize. I don’t want to struggle to use a site, or not be able to bet on my smartphone. So, I first looked at the desktop website functionality, and the availability of a downloadable mobile app.

The desktop website looks fantastic

I was instantly impressed by the style and layout of the Bally Bet website. It has a simple black, red, grey, and white color scheme, and all the text and headings are easy to read. The primary navigation is a horizontal nav bar and this gives you links to the sports categories, live betting, and your bet history.

Beneath this, you’ll find links to the popular sports categories, or you can click the “All Sports” option to get a complete list of the sports they support. Everything is in a logical place and I think that new Canadian sportsbook users will be able to tell what to do and where to go quickly. The layout of the individual sports sections works great too - you’ve usually got a list of special bets at the top, followed by the different bet categories and matches below, such as futures, spreads, and props bets.

Page speeds are fast, the live betting info loads quickly, and I never had any issues with slow image loading or odds not refreshing properly. I like that you can also change the odds display to American, Fractional, or Decimal from your account settings.

There is a downloadable iOS and Android app

ballybet sport mobileYou’ll be pleased to know that Bally Bet sportsbook Ontario has an app! This is available for Android and iOS and before I downloaded the Android version, I looked at the ratings and customer comments. From the Google Play Store, the app has a 4.4 star rating from over 8,000 reviews. The comments were generally positive and praised the usability of the app. From the App Store, the app has a 4.6 star rating from 2,400+ reviews. Comments were similar with the odd person complaining about never winning.

As I mentioned, I downloaded the Android app and tested it on my Samsung Galaxy. It works great! It’s one of the more streamlined and well-designed Canadian sportsbook apps I’ve used. You’ve got a compact and responsive mobile layout, and it’s easy to flick between the different sports categories and betting options. Loading speeds for the different sections were fine too, and I had no problems with the live betting, or the limited live streaming they offer.

What’s the sports betting experience like at Bally Bet Ontario?

ballybet sport rsik freeLike the Bwin review I created, a core part of my Bally Bets review was the actual sports betting experience. This is what you will spend 90% of your time doing at this operator so I want you to have an enjoyable time and to be able to bet on the sports you want. I spent time testing the sportsbook, looking at the different markets, and assessing the betting variety.

You can bet on 25+ different sports

I primarily judge the quality of a Canadian sportsbook on the number of sports it supports. In the case of Bally Bet Ontario, you’ll find 25+ markets to bet on including:

Australian Rules, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, eSports, Football, F1, Gaelic Sports, Golf, Handball, Hockey, Lacrosse, Motor Sports, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Snooker, Soccer, Surfing, TV & Novelty, Table Tennis, Tennis, MMA, Volleyball, Winter Sports.

This is one of the biggest ranges I’ve seen from Canadian sportsbooks and I think that no matter what sport you like, you’ll be able to place the bets you want. It’s not just the sports though - I looked into the major sports to check for league/event coverage and was impressed.

You’ve got all the top-flight competitions you would expect such as the NBA, NFL, CFL, NHL, and PGA Golf, but for many of the sports you can bet on 2nd and 3rd-tier competitions. For example, with soccer, you can bet on the English Premier League, but also the Championship and Division 1. The site supports most of the major tournaments too like the Olympics, Winter Olympics, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup, and UEFA Champions League.

NHL matches have amazing props bets

I think that NHL fans will love the support for Ice Hockey that Bally Bet has - especially the bet variety. You’ll see standard betting options such as moneyline, total goals, and puck line, but for most matches I looked at, there were 150-200+ props bets. I checked a game between the Panthers and Oilers and the props markets were ridiculous. You could bet on some of the following options:

  • Play shots.
  • Play goals.
  • Score by period.
  • Power Play goals.
  • Total goals in specific time periods.

Same game parlay betting is also available - not just for NHL matches, but for most sports. This means you can make complex bets with multiple props selections from the same matches.

There’s lots of special parlays and bet combos

The standard bet options at this Canadian sportsbook are great, but a feature I noticed was the special bets. You can usually find these at the top of a sports category - they are often special parlays or same game parlays for upcoming games. I used a handful of these and thought they had great odds and variety and added more fun to my betting experience.

What’s the live betting experience like at Bally Bet Canada?

Like my Bet99 review, I split the sports betting sections into general and in-play. This is because I feel the live betting offers something completely different and it warrants its own section. Bally Bet Canada does have live betting, and from my testing, it appears to be for all the sports markets they support. There is of course, more emphasis on popular Canadian sports like Ice Hockey, but you’ve got plenty of action regardless.

📊 The live match info and 2D renders are excellent

Does Bally Bet Canada have a legitimate offering?

As with my Betsafe review, for Bally Bet Canada, I wanted to check its legitimacy and make sure that its core features were in place. These are things I think a sportsbook must have to protect its players and give them a safe and seamless experience. For the Bally Bet sportsbook, I looked specifically at licensing, security, payments, and customer support.

Licensing

If you take one thing from this Bally Bet review, it’s that you should never play at an unlicensed online sportsbook. Sites that aren’t licensed do not have to comply with laws or regulations and this gives them the opportunity to act unethically - they could have rigged odds for example, or even not give you your winnings if you make a withdrawal request.

You don’t have to worry about this with Bally Bet Ontario. It is a fully licensed online sportsbook. It is registered with and has a license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario under registration number OPIG1242339. It also operates with an agreement with iGaming Ontario. I also found standard documentation I assume all Canadian sportsbooks have including a responsible gambling page, privacy policy, terms of use, and a cookies policy.

Website security

If you use one of our links to sign up to Bally Bet then I want you to feel safe - especially when real money is being used. With this in mind, I looked at the security features of the website. It uses industry-standard features that I believe every website should have including HTTPS connectivity, and an SSL certificate. When I created this Bally Bet review I checked for an active SSL certificate too - there was one and it was issued by E5/Let’s Encrypt which is a valid certificate authority.

When I made deposits at the site I was also able to use payment authentication, but this was from my provider - not from Bally Bet. Still, I was pleased that this feature was available. You can also enable 2FA for your account login at this sportsbook which I highly recommend to prevent account fraud.

Payment methods

I only found a small selection of payment methods at Bally Bet Ontario which included Visa, MasterCard, and Interac. I always use a Visa debit card anyway, so for me, this wasn’t an issue. Visa and MasterCard are two of the most popular payment networks too, so I don’t think the lack of payment variety will be a problem for most Canadian bettors

For withdrawals, you can use the same methods, plus Electronic Funds Transfer. Withdrawal processing times will depend on the payment method you chose and currently they offer the following speeds:

  • Electronic Funds Transfer: 3-5 business days.
  • Interac e-Transfer: 1-3 business days.
  • Visa/MasterCard: Up to 24 hours.

I used Visa for withdrawals and I got my payouts within a day and this appears to be the quickest option available.

Customer support options

All the support options for Bally Bet are located in the help and support page. Just click the ‘help & support’ link in the website footer and you’ll open the help center. There is a link to email support and the live chat in the top right-hand corner.

I tried the live chat three times and each time I had to start by answering questions with an AI chatbot. You have to select a few options and then describe your problem - after that, you are directed to a support agent unless the chatbot can help with your query. Each time I used the live chat I was able to speak to someone within 5 minutes max. They were responsive, helpful, and friendly, and were always able to sort out my problem.

The help center is a really good resource too if you prefer not to speak to someone. It has a popular question section, a search box, and help categories for things like payments, promotions, accounts, and technical issues. Several times I was able to get help from this system instead of speaking to a rep.

My verdict - will I continue using Bally Bet Ontario?

I definitely will! After finishing my Bally Bet review, I realized that I had an enjoyable time using the site and looking at its features. Compared to other Ontario sportsbooks, I think it ticks all the boxes and it doesn’t have many weaknesses. I would like to see more live streaming for different sports, but for me, that isn’t a dealbreaker.

What this operator does offer is brilliant betting variety, regardless of what sport you enjoy. It’s got some of the most extensive props bet choices I’ve seen, especially for popular Canadian sports like Ice Hockey, Football, and Soccer. Combine that with a high-quality mobile app for Android or iOS, and you have a fantastic sports betting experience. So, if you like what you see, you can always click one of our links or banners and sign up to Bally Bet today.
