If you join Zonko, don’t expect to receive a Zonko no deposit bonus. Sweepstakes casinos like Zonko don’t provide those. You will receive a welcome bonus of 3,000 Gold Coins (GCs) if you qualify to sign up there.
You can see how this works below. We’ll explain the differences between standard sites and sweepstakes casinos. We’ll also tell you how to claim the signup bonus for Zonko, which proved easy for us. You can also see how their GCs and Sweeps Coins (SCs) work if you decide you’d like to play their casino-style games.
Why Does Zonko Use the Welcome or Signup Bonus Wording?
You might think there’s a chance that Zonko could change the way it does things and start offering a Zonko no deposit bonus at some stage. It won’t. That’s because sweepstakes casinos like Zonko have a different way of working.
You can’t fund your account at a sweepstakes casino like you would at a regular casino. Deposits aren’t allowed on the site at all. Instead, you’ll find you can use two virtual currencies. Their names can change from one site to another, but here’s what Zonko uses:
- Gold Coins (GCs)
- Sweeps Coins (SCs)
Once you’ve signed up at Zonko, check the top of the site. You’ll see GC and SC balances there, with a slider next to them. Use that slider to choose the virtual currency you’d like to play with whenever you’re ready.
Differences Between GCs and SCs
GCs give you a chance to play games with a chance to receive GCs in return. You can only use GCs to prolong gameplay. They’re never connected to any prizes.
Conversely, SCs let you get into some sweepstakes play. Collect more SCs through gaming and you’ve got a chance of getting enough of them that way to redeem them for a real prize. You’ll need to hit the playthrough requirements as well. Here’s what Zonko asks of its players:
- Collect 100+ SCs via gameplay
- Play each SC 1x or more before redeeming
