I love checking out a new sweepstakes casino, so I was delighted to see Zonko launch recently. I’ve signed up, claimed my welcome bonus of 3,000 Gold Coins (GCs), and now I’ve written my Zonko review.
You’ll find out more about the hundreds of casino-style games you can play from the likes of NetEnt and BGaming, and learn more about the Sweeps Coins (SCs) that allow you to play sweepstakes games. You can also play using Gold Coins for amusement and entertainment. I’ll take you through the site and its features below.
Signing up was super quick - I just needed to enter my email address and choose a password to gain access. Once I’d clicked the link in the email they sent me, I received my welcome bonus of 3,000 Gold Coins. You don’t need to search for a Zonko promo code to get that bonus if you sign up, either.
You won’t get this upon logging in - you need to claim it. Select bonuses from the menu and then click on the eighth logo from the left on the panel that pops up. It’s small, but if you hover your cursor over it, you’ll see it says Daily Bonus.
Click on the date and you’ll receive a mystery bonus for that day. It could be Gold Coins, Sweeps Coins, or some stars. You can collect stars to use in the bonus store. They also help you progress through the VIP program, which I’ll cover in a moment. You can claim a treasure chest or gem in the store that may reveal a Sweeps Coin prize.
While you never need to make any Gold Coin purchases, Zonko does have an optional first GC purchase offer if you’re interested. If you choose the $20 offer, you will receive 112,000 GCs and 75 SCs, along with a spin on the Welcome Wheel.
This also unlocks the Power Boost promo. You must log in daily over eight days to receive a total of 62,000 GCs and 25 SCs. If you forget to login, you’ll miss the offer for that day, so you might want to set an alarm or reminder to make sure you don’t miss it.
That’s what I aim to answer for you in my Zonko review. I’ll look at how the site works and what makes it different from regular online casinos. Let’s start with how to use Zonko.
Here they are:
You can purchase more Gold Coins but you’re not required to as part of your membership. You can’t purchase Sweeps Coins, but you’ll find different ways to collect some. You might occasionally pick up some SCs via the daily bonus, for example. Zonko also has the Alternative Method of Entry involving sending a postal request to get more Sweeps Coins.
Once I reached the main lobby, I realized that Zonko was heavily tilted towards slots. I did find a search box, which produced no results for table games. When I searched for scratch cards, I found four, so you’ve got a few other possibilities to try. I had a go on 3 Kings Scratch and Scratch Alpaca Gold, which were neat to try.
There’s plenty of good news for slot fans though. You’ll see a list of providers near the bottom of that page, including the following among others:
You’ll find a few categories to browse once you’re in the Zonko lobby, although they’re not your usual categories. I spotted a couple covering titles from Ruby Play and Playson, for example. You’ll also see the top 10 titles for the US, so that’s worth exploring too. There’s no way to narrow the collection of slots according to reels, lines, or themes, though.
My favorite to start with was the hot slots category. I found Starburst and Bonanza among the impressive slots in that area. Those are among the most popular slots available online today.
Finally, I searched for Megaways slots and found a handful of those to try too. I tried Buffalo Power Megaways and Piggy Riches Megaways - both of which I’d heard of before visiting Zonko Casino.
This is good news as you can visit a fully-functioning mobile website to appreciate the best of Zonko. Having visited on my iPad and iPhone, along with a computer, I found no difficulties on any platform.
This was tricky to find, so I’ll explain how I located it here:
You start at Blue, with six other levels going from Bronze up to Diamond. You’ll see a bar at the top of the screen, showing you your progress towards the next level. You need to collect stars to reach new levels. You can get stars by completing missions (also available from the bonuses screen). Typical examples include stars for making optional GC purchases or reaching the top of a leaderboard during play.
If you’re keen to check these things, as you should be, you’ll notice that Zonko doesn’t have a license. That’s because they provide a social casino experience with a sweepstakes format in place.
Zonko comes from a company called Forever Winning LLC. They’re clear on these basics:
I always check for this as some sweepstakes casinos don’t include it. Thankfully, Zonko does, and they’ve provided large headings for sections including these:
Firstly, you don’t need to spend a dime to play at Zonko Casino - that’s because it’s a sweepstakes site. You can’t ever purchase any Sweeps Coins, but you do have the option to purchase Gold Coins if you wish. Note that you’ll need to complete your personal profile info before you can do this.
You may decide not to do this, which is fine. However, if you do want more Gold Coins (remember that you cannot redeem Gold Coin winnings for anything else), you can purchase using a debit card bearing the Visa or Mastercard logo. Zonko has also got Google Pay and Apple Pay, which is ideal if you’re playing on a mobile device.
If you play using SCs, here are two criteria you’ll need to remember if you want to trade your winnings for real prizes:
You can request an SC redemption via your debit card or go for a bank transfer. SC redemptions can take up to 10 days, so make sure you’ve completed your profile and met their KYC requirements (Know Your Customer) before you put in an SC winnings redemption request.

I've already shared some info about various parts of the site, including their VIP program, virtual currencies, and social casino games. I wanted to test their customer service features too though, so here’s what I found out.
Once I had signed up, I spotted a help option at the bottom of the site menu, along with a smiley face. I also noted an FAQ option listed along with the terms and conditions and sweepstakes rules towards the right of the bottom of all site pages.
Both led to the same place - an FAQ page with a dozen or so questions and answers to read. I also found some blank lines at the bottom of the page, which could suggest they’re going to add more FAQs there in time, since they’ve only just launched.
Not yet, anyway - hopefully they’ll provide this service in time, but for now, it’s not available. They say you can contact them through their website, but there doesn’t appear to be any way of doing so. You can use their support email address to get some help if need be, though.

I love the name, and it’s great to visit a sweepstakes casino with hundreds of casino-style games - especially from big hitters including NetEnt and Betsoft. While you’ll only get 3,000 Gold Coins upon joining, there are other ways to collect more Gold Coins after that. You can use any of the links I’ve listed on this page to check out Zonko for yourself to see the other promos currently available there.
I enjoyed trying a range of slots at the Zonko sweepstakes casino, although they’ve yet to add any table games. You will find plenty of other promotions once you’ve created your account there, and of course, you can progress through the VIP club as well. Zonko might be new, but it’s started in a promising fashion.
No - Michigan is one of 11 US states where the site does not operate. Washington, California, and Montana are among the other prohibited states you cannot play from.
No, because Zonko works as a sweepstakes casino. You cannot therefore deposit any funds there. While you can choose to purchase additional Gold Coins, you do not need to do so at any point if you don’t want to.
Yes, Zonko is owned and operated by Forever Winning LLC, and clearly states that it is a sweepstakes casino available in multiple (but not all) US states.
