Highlights
Casino Time and Vegas Club have joined Alberta’s regulated iGaming market, bringing the operator count above 40.
Casino Time expands its Ontario charitable gaming model into Alberta, including regulated online bingo.
Vegas Club entered Alberta shortly after launching in New Jersey, targeting further Canadian market expansion.
Alberta's regulated iGaming market is barely two months old, and it's already adding new names to the roster. Casino Time and Vegas Club have both gone live as registered operators in the province, pushing the total count of licensed sites well past 40 since the market's July 13 launch.
Neither brand is starting from zero either, and that's really what makes both additions worth a closer look and not just two more logos on a growing list.

Casino Time Brings Ontario’s Charitable Model West
Casino Time isn't a new name in Canadian iGaming, just a new one in Alberta specifically. The Toronto-based brand has been running in Ontario since April 2024, built as a joint venture among the province's charitable gaming centre operators and powered by GiG's platform and LogicX rules engine.
What sets it apart from most operators on any list of
online casinos in Canada
is bingo. Casino Time was only the second operator to bring on-demand, regulated online bingo to Ontario players, and that has carried over into its game library, now sitting alongside slots and live dealer tables from more than 40 studios.
The brand completed its Alberta registration with the AGLC in June, and the charitable fundraising ties that shaped its Ontario launch are coming along with it into the new province.
Vegas Club Arrives Fresh Off a New Jersey Launch
Vegas Club Casino, run by G2 Digital, only just went live for the first time anywhere on July 22, launching in New Jersey through a market access partnership with Caesars Entertainment before Alberta became its second regulated market barely weeks later.
The people behind it aren't new to online gambling, even if the brand itself is new. Co-founder Greg Carlin previously built Rush Street Gaming and, before that, Rush Street Interactive, and he currently owns two casinos in New Hampshire through Granite State Gaming.
His partner Dan Alexander spent close to 15 years in regulated online gaming, including a run helping PlayStar grow into a top-ten operator in New Jersey. Both have said they're eyeing Ontario and Pennsylvania next, which makes Alberta look less like a one-off expansion and more like an early stop for a brand planning to show up in most of the same places on any running list of
new online casinos in Canada
over the next year or two.
Where This Leaves Alberta’s Market
Both additions land on a roster the AGLC and the Alberta iGaming Corporation – the two bodies that split compliance and commercial oversight of the market – had already counted at more than 40 registered operators as of June 2026, weeks before launch.
That's a fast build for a market this young, and it puts real pressure on Alberta to look competitive next to Ontario's more established market, not just functional. Operators pay a one-time $50,000 application fee plus $150,000 annually to register, with the province taking 3% of gross revenue off the top before splitting what's left 80/20 in the operator's favor, terms stiff enough to encourage serious operators.
For players scanning the current field of
Alberta online casinos, Casino Time and Vegas Club represent two fairly different bets on what draws people in, one leaning on a charitable bingo niche barely anyone else offers, the other betting on operators who've already built winners elsewhere.
What Comes Next For These Two Brands
Neither operator has published Alberta-specific promotions or game counts yet, so how each performs against the dozens of established names already competing for the same players remains an open question at this stage.
What's already clear is that Alberta's market isn't just absorbing the usual list of US and UK-facing giants. It's also pulling in operators built around different ideas, a charitable bingo model on one side and a founder-led, player-first pitch on the other. That kind of variety tends to be a decent early sign for how a young regulated market is shaping up.
