Our Review of Birds in the City
- Launch Date: October 8, 2026
- Provider: Betsoft
- Paylines: None
- Max Win: 45,000x
- RTP: 95.87%
Jolly Sweeps joins a growing list of
new sweepstakes casinos
that offer you the full package. But it gets even better: the operator is partnering with top software companies to give you early access to new slot releases.
Birds in the City
is one of those new releases, and it uses modern slot features to appeal to players (cascading reels and various other in-game bonuses). And really, this is the right way to go about it. The game’s developer, Betsoft, understands that greater variation is simply more attractive because it can also produce bigger wins.
Here are the most notable features in
Birds in the City:
- Cascading Reels. This game doesn't rely on traditional paylines. Instead, it uses cascading reels to create multiple consecutive wins. When winning symbols land on the reels, they disappear, and new symbols will appear.
- Multipliers and Mystery Symbols. Multiplier symbols worth up to 500x can land during spins and cascades. In the base game, the game adds every multiplier on screen and applies it once the cascades end. Plus, mystery symbols can also help create winning combinations.
- Free Spins and Super Scatters. With four or more scatter symbols, you’ll unlock the bonus round, which involves 15 free spins. Three or more scatters during the round add 5 more spins, and every multiplier collected builds a Total Multiplier that applies to each winning cascade until the round ends. Super Scatters trigger the round the same way but also pay a larger instant prize. An optional Bet Booster doubles the chance of triggering Free Spins, and the Bonus Buy unlocks Super Free Spins when every multiplier is 10x or higher.
Now, the RTP here sits at 95.87%, which is a little lower than the industry standard at 96%. Over the long run, that’s a theoretical return of 95.87 SC for every 100 SC played, against 96 SC at a 96% slot.
The 45,000x ceiling depends on stacking multipliers through a long cascade or Free Spins round, so most sessions will land well below it.
Pros:
- Impressive payout potential, with a max win of 45,000x
- Cascading reels that can string together multiple wins
- Bonus-heavy content that includes free spins and Super Scatters
- A modern design that emphasizes innovation and big wins
Cons:
- Below-average RTP can deter conservative players from partaking
- No traditional paylines; wins depend on symbol combinations
Our Verdict: Big Multipliers, Lower RTP
Overall,
Birds in the City
is an excellent option for players who enjoy modern slot features and big payout potential. The 45,000x maximum win is attractive, but with high volatility, you shouldn’t expect steady returns. Overall,
Birds in the City
is still fun to play, with a layout/design that deviates from traditional payline slots.
