The ROLR website offers a demo of its prediction markets service ahead of the real app launch. ROLR is legal in Texas, and the app will be, too. ROLR will follow the CFTC regulations, since those apply to all states.
Even though ROLR is currently in demo mode, you can still review their prediction market coverage. Topic areas include sports and economics. It’s simple; predict whether an event would take place with yes or no. Predicting the correct outcome means you’d get $1 per event contract once the app launches. For now, Texas residents can try the demo.
Learn everything you can about ROLR once the app goes live, including any ROLR referral bonus possibilities. For now, here’s the basic format all prediction market sites use.
These are the only two outcomes that can occur in a prediction market. That’s because every topic is presented as a question:
This is true of all the best economy prediction market apps, along with all other topic areas. If 94% back a particular outcome, that outcome will be 94 cents per event contract. If just 5% back it, the event contract will be 5 cents a time. Since the full ROLR service is yet to launch, make sure you check for any relevant fees, too.
If you purchase event contracts for the correct outcome, you will receive $1 for each one you hold. This amount never changes. The only figure that changes is the purchase amount. This lets you have an expectation on how much you will get if you are correct. If you’re wrong, you won’t receive anything at all.
Yes - particularly in the politics topic area. We found these on a recent visit:
You can also look for topics connected to certain areas. We found a prediction market giving options for the highest temperature in Dallas, Texas on a certain date. Watch out for Texan sports teams, too.
Some prediction market services only cover a few subject areas. ROLR covers plenty. You can look through probabilities for everything from baseball matches to top movies. We’ve listed some examples here.
| Subject | Example of a Prediction Market |
|---|---|
| Sports | Team head-to-heads in baseball or basketball |
| Crypto | MetaMask possible token launch before a certain date |
| Economics | Bank of England decision in a certain month |
| Politics | Next French Presidential election outcome |
| Finance | All-time high price for crude oil |
| Tech and AI | New product line from Apple by 2027 |
| Esports | Predicted dates for game releases |
| Culture | Top Spotify artist of the year |
| Science and weather | Chance of a Category 4 hurricane anywhere in the US |
You can’t often get access to a prediction markets site until it’s fully live. ROLR gives us a demo to try while we wait for the app. Aside from being regulated by the CFTC, ROLR has other highlights too.
We were pleased to see we could try the practice version of ROLR via their website before the app launches. But just like any prediction market, there’s always a few requirements to be able to do so. You must be 18 or over to use the practice site and the app when it goes live. You’ll need your ID and evidence of your Texas address, too. ROLR looks set to have one of the largest collections of prediction markets, so there’s plenty to look forward to if you’re interested in predictions and probabilities.
You can try it for yourself by using one of our ROLR links on this page to get there.
Yes, but you can only try the demo site at present. The app will launch soon, offering real prediction markets regulated by the CFTC.
You can find probabilities for outcomes in everything from baseball to tennis and even eSports.
Yes, each prediction market category has its own logo. ROLR makes live markets clear by adding the end date of each underneath the market options.
